  1. Seriously.......can the media stop printing these Toyota press releases?? They have a different conflicting message every time. Why does anyone believe or trust them??
  2. The main thing I'm concerned about is the fact that the Viper is hand built, and that this thing is supposed to ride on the same platform. The reason why the Corvette is so affordable, is because it's built on an assembly line, and they know that they can sell enough to warrent the high volumes to build it on an assembly line. If the Firepower! is hand bulit like the current Viper, there is no way they can keep the cost down to anywhere near Corvette prices. Even if they use a 6.1L HEMI instead of the V-10 Viper engine. However, a new Viper is already in the works, and due out next year.......so maybe that platform will be expanded to accomodate the Firepower!, along with a new plan to manufacture it???
  3. The 300's sales don't seem to be slowing. '05 sales are up over 30,000. Where are all the people on here that were certain that the 300's sales were going to tank after the first year?? I hear the Charger is selling at about 9K per month currently.
  4. This doesn't look cool?? It was called that due to the location of it's stripe being called a "bumble bee" stripe.
  5. Now I like the GTO....and the Cavalier for that matter......but I can't believe anyone wouldn't admit that they look "similar". Not exactly the same, but at least similar. If the Cavi had a thicker C pillar, they would even look that much more alike.
  6. That's pretty much the definition of a "shared platform". The two Dodge's are very similar, but are different from the 300.
  7. If you can't see the difference between posting personal attacks on members of this forum, and members posting there dislike for a corporation......then I don't think you deserve the right to continue posting you anti-GM/Domestic, pro-Toyota rhetoric on this GM fan forum. Toyota is a big stupid head!
  8. The only shared external body panels are the doors and the roof. How do the GMT 360 triplets compare in that aspect?
  9. I didn't even catch that initially. That is kinda funny!
  10. ....and will look completely different form each other next year. :AH-HA_wink:
  11. They have these all over Japan....they're called Bullet Trains:

    IS350 Review

Your eyes no not deceive you, Lexus did copy the Grand Prix. All they did was make it a little stubbier:
  13. Blame the auto rags??? Are you sure you don't WORK for Toyota?? This is not an auto rag (unless you are referring to Toyota as an auto rag......which would be fine then): and here's on I really thought was funny. Helping reassure the people who need constant reassurement:

My bad. I was going by memory......which was probably not a good idea!

    IS350 Review

    [zoolander] I feel like I'm taking crazy pills! [/zoolander] How does a 350 HP V6 IS350 not compete with a 333 HP I6 M3?? But then you are saying that a 4.3L or 4.6L V8 IS500 will be a fair comparison to the M3.
  16. They olnly have that plant there to hold the illusion that they build cars domestically in India. They pretty much do the same thing here in the US, but just to a greater extent because of logistics.
  17. Alright, they got Toyota on their horsepower loophole......now they are working on their false MPG ratings for their hybrids: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060111/ap_on_bi_ge/fuel_economy

  19. How does being four years old make an interior obsolete? Did they come up with new space age materials since four years ago? The Caliber actually has two different colors on the interior, along with aluminum (color?) brightwork on the center stack and instrument panel......as opposed to the one color of the Matrix/Vibe with brightwork. Swoopy lines and blobs aren't better then squares if they don't match the exterior of the car. Chrysler's current design theme is angular, therefore the interior should match that theme.
  20. The Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe interior is certainly no better looking than the Caliber.....it's just different....and the Vibe/Matrix doesn't have a cooler in the glove box, and an MP3 holder in the armrest(as far as I know):
  21. Interiors do not have to be swoopy, futeristic looking, and multi-colored to be good......that's only for Japanese cars. Some people like a simple and cleanly laid out interior.....including myself. If the materials are soft-touch like in most of the newer Chrysler vehicles, then I think this interior is really nice for an upper entry level vehicle.
  22. Looks much better than in the cell phone pics: http://autoshows.minivan20th.com/detroit/m...007_008ca_m.jpg http://autoshows.minivan20th.com/detroit/m...007_009ca_m.jpg http://autoshows.minivan20th.com/detroit/m...007_010ca_m.jpg http://autoshows.minivan20th.com/detroit/m...007_011ca_m.jpg http://autoshows.minivan20th.com/detroit/m...007_012ca_m.jpg http://autoshows.minivan20th.com/detroit/m...007_015ca_m.jpg http://autoshows.minivan20th.com/detroit/m...007_016ca_m.jpg
  23. Yeah, but when you compare the two......I'll take the look of the Rallye's front end:
  24. Well, here's the production Jeep Compass. I'll wait for the Rallye version, as the non-Rallye has a jacked up front end: It also appears that the non-Rallye version will be fairly off-road capable with it's high ground clearence and sophisticated AWD/4x4 system: http://www.allpar.com/model/jeep/compass.html .
