  1. Liberty - Nitro, photo comparison: Most people could probably tell that they come off the same platform, but I think they differ enough so that people won't mistake one for the other.
  2. Small pic of interior: http://blogs.edmunds.com/.ee99c4d/cmd.233/embedded..ee99c4b Oops....that's the old interior. Edmunds still sux!
  3. I don't see how some people think the old Liberty interior is better. Maybe because of all round components?? Everybody here seems to hate angular things. I think it's definitely an improvement.
  4. Tell that to the rest of the world. Actually, consumers from other countries have more sense then to just buy up everything from countries that will not buy anything back.
  5. Love the vehicle....hate the name. They will probably change it to FLX350 in a year, and then back to Windstar a year later....so no big deal. Don't they kind of already have a Flex?: Limited-edition 2008 Ford Expedition Funkmaster Flex Edition
  6. I just thought it was funny that it was in the first reply (in the DCX section before threads were merged). Then I decided to check out it's competition, and realized that it actually looks pretty good compared to: the FJ Cruiser: and the Nissan Xterra: Explain to me how the competition is any better?
  7. GM's very own Micro Machines!! .....or Scion rip-off line.
  8. http://www.allpar.com/trucks/jeep/liberty-2008.html More pics here: http://www.modernmopars.com/blog/images?file=liberty/
  9. Jeep parking only at the rim of Ojos del Salado. Two Jeep Wrangler Unlimited vehicles climbed the world's highest volcano and set a new world record by climbing 6,646 meters (21,804 feet) to the volcano’s rim. Two Jeep Wrangler Unlimited vehicles carried a team from Extrem Events (Germany), led by Mattias Jeschke, from the base of the inhospitable Ojos del Salado volcano in the Chilean Andes to the highest point that a four-wheeled vehicle has traveled. Thanks to "Stratuscaster" on Allpar.com who originally posted the DCX article.
  10. What a cool SkunkWerks logo too: More pics and thread here: http://forum.jkboard.com/viewtopic.php?t=2966 ***New article on Autoblog.com, with awesome pictures: http://www.autoblog.com/2007/05/22/jeep-jt...is-no-show-car/
  11. Yep, good call. Even the GM 2.4L is more powerful than most of the Asians.
  12. I still can't find a picture of the interior...but here's a nice description :AH-HA_wink: : And, the previous version also had a removable lower front fascia, but this has a redesigned one....so I guess they had to mention it again.
  13. I'll let the "gruff" comment slide.....but "not too powerful"?? DCX - 2.4L = 173 HP, 166 ft-lbs GM - 2.2L = 148 HP, 152 ft-lbs Ford - 2.3L = 160 HP, 156 ft-lbs Honda - 2.4L = 166 HP, 160 ft-lbs Mazda - 2.3L = 156 HP, 154 ft-lbs Toyota - 2.4L = 158 HP, 161 ft-lbs --------- Only the Nissan 2.5L is slightly more powerful, and the Subaru 2.5L matches it.
  14. I guess that's because you are not looking for the stories of the people complaining about the "injustice."
  15. The UAW is already working for the Toyota employees, they might as well get their dues out of it. Toyota is paying competitive wages right now due to the fact that they don't want the Union in their plants. The Toyota workers are benefiting from the UAW just because the UAW exists. They should be paying dues.
  16. It's being produced for Dodge dealerships by an aftermarket company, not DCX:
  17. Only if it's Toyota union made!
  18. This is a wicked video: http://jalopnik.com/cars/custom-cars/tuner...-run-247443.php
  19. Guess I'm gonna have to take your word for it. That chart I linked was linked from Wikipedia, and was in a section about trade deficit, but now I see that it's total trade. I was looking for a quick and easy chart, and I have no idea how you found that info in that PDF! That PDF hurt my brain! So really....Japan is the 3rd country on the list??.....and is the size of California.
  20. The one and only Genesis: What does the Compass' crappy interior material composition have to do with vehicle quality? Most reviewers like the Compass except for the graining on the plastic, and others don't like the looks.
  21. Wow, before you start telling people what to do, maybe you should go back and read the article. The only one that said anything was horrific, was a dealer.....and he was talking about the interiors of the 90's. Basically, everyone in the article said how bad the interiors were at one time, and that they think they are better right now....but how they want to go up another level to differentiate themselves from the competition.
  22. I meant to imply Middle Eastern and South American.....you know...Axis of Evil countries. Only Canada and Mexico make both lists: http://www.eia.doe.gov/pub/oil_gas/petrole...ent/import.html Saudi Arabia is second on the oil importing list, but does not appear on the trade deficit list.
