I'm glad you did ...I cringe when I see soooo many others, esp. kids, yankingapart display cars.... Did you notice the lower B-pillar trim that can stab you in the back upon entry/egress? Thats the part the bugged me about these cars

fascia delete with an S.P.O. kit including hood with twin openings!
-

Ancient....I know Pontiac had many prototype engines in the early 60s ....3 valve 428s and 4 valve per cylinder 389s. I have a '68 Hot Rod mag that goes behind the scenes on GM's overhead cam development program.

I feel exactly the same...Luckily for me there are many to be found in my area, which end up at salvage yards. Underbodies and floorpans go quick when rotted by salt! Lots of other good parts for cheap tho. I want to build another one with/for my son who is now 14...I am seriously contemplating a 500 Cadillac engine for my Malibu. I found a rotted 84 regal with the 500 swapped into it...runs good! I will make it eat a cam and get a aluminum intake, port the heads myself...My car has parts that range from1969- 2004. Interchangeability is awesome on this platform.

You are exactly right - confirmed through records at GM, the platform breakpoint from A to G bodies was 1982. Sorry for any confusion. Because so many components interchange, it is probably best to refer to those corporate brothers from 78-88 as A/G bodies..... RWD A body cars were redesignated as G platform cause they decided to continue production, and add Monte SS', Grand Nationals, 442s etc. I'm glad they did that.

Happy to know that at least someone liked it.....I love cars that are driven...I have had it with the types that leave 'em in the garage all the time with a cover on. So cool to see twin turboed v-8s and supercharged cars in the rain...then the rain clears and everybody's peeling out and whoop'in it up! Next time schedule your vacation so you can see the main event. see ya next time Cort

I am glad you could make it...I talked to the manager at the H.C. and showed him some mistakes and mislabeled concepts....He asked me to help out at special events as a floorwalker, so I will find out alot more about just what goes on there.

You should check your mail soon B.... anyway, here are some more recent pics -I went during the week of the cruise to an open house I volunteered there and maybe we'll get some cool behind the scenes type photos here is a Caprice classic with a V-12 F.I. production style one- off unit very special it was hiding in back 200 mph 4 cylinders test beds..... This is one of my favorites This wildcat reminds me of a cyborg, part mammal, part car, it looks like the car grew around the drivetrain a little spyder action... this is the one with the much discussed silver and gold logo ... Buicks are timeless

I tried to capture some of the feeling, but these pictures don't do the event justice, It's something to see... It's called "the Devils joke" he steers it with a vertical axis lathe wheel no joke. yes I will have one someday and the engine will not be in the cab! batman was there yes the torch worked! this thing made the Miata next door look like a big car whatisit I dunno This is a great car. check out the action video earlier in the thd -night time The only Isetta I ever saw do wheelies! Yes, it does have a supercharged V-6. a beautiful survivor that gave me a chill when I saw it. It was an erie feeling You bet yur durn ass he had a mullet -real greasy long one and a Petty 43 hat yeah whatever yes he did glue rats to the body I missed the shot, but I saw a trailer go by with one of these bent into a V from jumping..the frame was buckled in the center more to come in a few minutes ...,

The difference is all about numbers. More Camaros were built, wrecked and stolen than it's Pontiac brother...soooo, that's why. In comparison to other vehicles, pony cars are often driven with more risk, and speed. Why not get a car thats lighter than those ...and put your own engine in it....

He was bang'in gears hard and stuffing it into the turns- He's cool ... and his eyes get real big when talking abour cars..one of us for sure! This guy has BIG ideas.
