  1. What about Montes, or Impalas, or Crown Vics or 300s....V-8s are sticking around. Smooth, efficient power is not going out of style! I've had about enough of you and amazing crystal ball(s) ! Your just bummed out that your wife won't let you have one.
  2. more go than show- rusty headers are faster than shiney
  3. OMG YES ~ 572, Currie 4:10 posi, bullet proof 400 trans, Ultra light race wheels, and a fuel cell so I don't get exploded.... Chip really should do a car like this for a change!
  4. I can't deny I love red...Then I could add SS stripes or do a silver two tone later on after I got used to it... People say, oh cops will come after you, blahblah Red might be the best color in the spectrum. I love this one too, it would just cost more and you hafta dust off the black to keep it looking good every other day too bad for those fruity ralley wheels Where is Foose when you need him? I have a cool brother that has done body work for 25years, lucky me. He's gonna block it out like an Autorama car this week. I appreciate your thoughts..I just keep hearing Sammy Hagar saying RED
  5. I liked the white because it looks clean a long time, as a daily driver in the summer, I've had black...It sure shows dust.... this thing is a driver. I was leaning towards a bright red, maybe with some silver or black. I have never been able to decide anything easily
  6. A bold plan....I should have mentioned I'm kind of budget-minded...That sounds good tho
  7. Cloth in the door trim is pre-assembled at a supplier, radio glitches blame mexico, Ignition switch goes into the column at a supplier .... Lordstown is a good plant with people that really care. Been there seen them
  8. I like black primer on older fat fender units....I'm not sure...
  9. I mistakingly thought you were refering to an incident a few years back....In which a family in a Malibu was toasted...General perception was then changed to all Malibus are death traps etc, etc. Most cars from the 60s and 70s had similar designs... whatever, if my number comes up, it was meant to be.
  10. I'm prepping this car for paint....and having difficulty deciding what color to go with, I asked the car, it does not know either. It's not the coolest or fastest, but I really like it. Dark gray interior... I only know it can't be white. I'm interested to know what others think. If it was your car, what color(s) would you choose and why? What is the best color~
  11. Any car with a metal gas tank that gets rearended by a drunk going 60+is gonna have some trouble. S.Penguin: A fine choice! I've had lots of them, and they are great!~ Lightest Body-on-Frame car by GM ever! Easy to upgrade, interchangability with almost everything GM! I like them, because of the irony... that they were intended for economy, and they make badass sleepers. Excellent street car, and for racing. Y'all done goood. Check the frame rails right behind the rear wheels before you spend too much. That's the worst thing to worry about on these.
  12. Check out the ghetto patrol unit! What color will it wear? I dunno.
  13. The V-8 has an intangible quality or feel, along with the sound, that begs to be driven....aside from the virtues of torque, longevity, and smooth operation. I respectfully disagree. Anyone can predict the obvious, and I doubt the V-8 will go away anytime soon....I'd rather have a V-8 infrontofme than a frontal lobotomy
  14. The dedication of GM's Design Center was 50 years ago... I think it's cool: http://www.carofthecentury.com/versaille_of_industry.htm
  15. Well Done longtooth.... so sorry for your loss I am with you.
  16. Good things come to those who wait GM is a little too conservative, which is good and bad, 75 years and still the world' largest producer.... Nobody at GM is giving up, beeeeotch.
  17. Nice Oldsmos. I know a guy at work that runs a Ford Ranger w/383 Chevy power- narrowed rr end etc....He slapped a bowtie outline emblem on top of the blue oval front and back. I like it... I don't like posing tho
  18. I have goosebumps....what a freaky place! It reminds me of the twilight zone, there must be some strange unearthly force at work there... Did your hair stand on end & such when you discovered these treasures? How can you even begin to explain this place???????????? You are the King of cool pic posts, Sixty8
  19. This is kind of offensive- Don't you care about anyones feelings...? besides your own... Chinese Pigeon - 1 excellent pigeon, for dining onion shreds mashed garlic ginger shreds gourmet powder salt sugar powdered licorice root ginger powder ... Soak the pigeon in hot water for a while, then depilate it, remove the intestines, and clean ... Everything is offensive on some level, you know?
  20. Saw it last week: Napa employee of the year has her '67 stolen from work...They throw her purse out the window. The Next day, she parks the s-10 napamobile as she's dropping off a delivery....They peel out in it. The napamobile gets a blown 572 and is pro streeted...The Camino gets a hot small block, dark silver with blueish flames etc, etc, they show her the s-10, all the while lying about not finding her baby, then they swap out the Camino and suprise her....yayyyy, tears, golden napa hat, the end
  21. Yes. Built by Frank Kurtis, very successful Indy car builder 1954 http://hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/8774/
  22. Cadillac power, built in So Cal....not many of them.
  23. Well put. I love American Vehicles...with beefy frames, wide bodies, and rumbling V-8s. I have had it with globalization! I want the chrome, and dual exhaust, and fat tires. I don't care about the whole world, as much as I care about US. I know just what I want and won't settle for less. I'm with Fly.
  24. True. It was built by the Chevy Raceshop in Texas...and now lives at theGM Heritage Center in MI. The Engine in those cars goes into the bay from the bottom up. Major rework to the dash panel(firewall)....great idea if you hit the lotto. 383 or 406 is a good plan, world products sells a small block 427 as well.
