Good show, birthday man.

Sorry, but that particular bodystyle of Riviera reminds me too much of the Chrysler TC by Maserati and "rich Corinthian leather". I prefer the more curvy last-gen Riv:

Some nice human being I guess has infiltrated the forums because there are constant popups now. Can our webmaster(s) handle this?

I retired my old Sanyo 8100 for a new black Sanyo 6600 Katana today. I can't stop looking at it, it's so cool. It's got all the good features: -Speakerphone -Camera -Bluetooth (bought a headset to go with it) -"True sound" ring tones (i.e. no polyphonic fakery -- "Twisted Transistor" isn't a series of beeps and tones) -...and so on Pretty good RAZR alternative if you don't have Cingular (I have Sprint). (This one is blue but Google failed in finding me a good pic of the black one.) Good luck trying to find a seperate unit to buy and install yourself, either. Pretty much impossible. I doubt the original manufacturer still makes them or has any leftovers.

Personally, if I were to buy an Aurora, I'd go all the way and get the V8. However, V8 second-gens can be a bitch to find.

I have a felling the 2007 Armadas (and maybe Titans) are going to be abbreviated model years and the 2008 Titans and Armadas will be released soon after the year 2007 rolls around (much in the same way as the 2004 MY Altima was a shorter run to make way for the refreshed 2005 MY Altima).

Spied: 2008 Nissan Armada For 2007, Nissan already announced a power increase and optional flex fuel capability for the 5.6-liter V8 so we don't expect any big changes under the hood. We did, however, manage to get an interior shot which shows several upgrades to the cabin. The center stack is all-new with an integrated navigation screen and some switchgear borrowed from Infiniti. The climate and radio controls have swapped spots and the vents have been moved up a little. Twin analog dials now dominate the gauge cluster in place of the current model's setup which gives you a big central speedo with the rest of auxiliary gauges sprinkled on each side. It appears as though the quality of the materials have been bumped up a notch as well. Read "Spy photos: 2008 Nissan Armada" @ Edmunds Straighline

I try to be courteous to everyone. I don't see what being an ass to _________ drivers accomplishes (except maybe looking like an ass yourself).

I've always wondered what it would be like to dress like a goth. Or at least have a pair of those baggy pants with all the straps and chains on them.

Why would anyone want to copy the ION?? + =

Yes, well anyway, I think I'm going to look into opening up a money market account. Sounds like a good prospect from what I've read.

Well, I'm not Canadian so an RRSP is out. What about a Roth IRA (is that the one should be looking at)?

Spied: 2007 Nissan Sentra SE-R The SE-R has always represented the best the Nissan Sentra had to offer. The current Sentra generation added a "Spec V" package for even more sport and power. These days thogh, the SE-R Sentra lags behind most newer competition. The upcoming Sentra SE-R aims to be a heavy contender once again, going toe-to-toe most directly with the Jetta GLI. No word on if they will be a "Spec V" this time around but the photos look promising. Read "Spy Photos: 2007 Nissan Sentra SE-R" @ World Car Fans

Remember this? http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...showtopic=10463 Well, to put it as simply as possible, Dell screwed up and my order didn't really go through. Now, I was going to just say the hell with it and buy one from Circuit City or the like but as I think about it, I think I should put the money towards a better use. I may just save as much as I can of the money I earn this summer and start really saving for another car. I haven't really been doing that up to now. As for what car, I have no idea since I really don't have any idea how much I want to (or can) spend. -An old Caprice to "Impala SSify"? -A Maxima? -A Saab 9-3? -An older BMW? I really don't know. But if nothing else, hopefully I can learn to be somewhat more disciplined with my money.

I think what I'm looking forward to the most is being able to have DVR-like capability that the OS offers. I've wanted that for the longest.

Dudes, I'm getting a Dell. Yep, Windows has retained a user. It's a Dimension E510 desktop. Important specs: -Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 -Pentium D Processor 930 (Dual Core), 3.0 GHz -1 GB DDR2 SDRAM -250GB Serial ATA HD -128 PCI Express x16 ATI Radeon X300 SE video card -17" Analog flat panel monitor In short, it beats the hell out of my current rig. I was considering an iMac but this deal looked too good to pass up (plus, I'm curious about Windows Vista). I don't think I want a Mac as my main computer just yet. Maybe I'll get a MacBook in the future. It should be arriving next week.

Can't say I agree with ya there... The differences are even more apparent in real life. It's not 100% changed but you wouldn't assume it was a minor refresh.

Toyota: Moving Forward...Entirely Too Fast -Variance July 18, 2006 As you may have heard today, yet another recall has been issued for Toyota vehicles. Over 400,000 vehicles worldwide were recalled for a faulty part that can cause an engine to cease functioning. 150,000 of the recalled were in overseas (outside of Japan) markets, predominantly in North America. Among the affected are the Corolla, Echo, and Prius. Now normally, I don’t see a big deal in recalls; they happen to the best of companies and no one is immune to them. However, lately it seems Toyota has got recall SARS or botulism or something. Toyota, Dude, What the F*ck Barbeque? The above-mentioned recall is the latest in a series of recalls in the past weeks for Japan’s #1 automaker: • July 12: 367,600 U.S. Highlander and Lexus RX SUVs to fix faulty clips that may cause a console panel to fall onto the accelerator. • July 11: Scion tCs are under investigation to determine whether the full-length moonroof is prone to shattering. • July 10: 160,000 Tundra pickups to deactivate passenger airbag cut-off switches instead of fitting LATCH child anchor systems to the seats. And that’s only this month. They’ve had several others in 2006. Number One is Taking a Number Two on Their Rep As if the vehicle problems were not enough, there are questionable things going on within the Toyota corporation itself: • The “fix” Toyota instituted in with the Tundra airbags drew a lot of flak. Many criticized Toyota for cheaping out on safety and caring more about the money than their customers. • There was a report alleging Toyota’s failure to recall a sport-utility vehicle while knowing there was a problem. (Blurb in The Car Connection's “Daily Edition” for July 17, 2006.) • You may have also caught The Japan Times' “A bumper-car experience in Toyota-land” which took a look at Darius Mehri’s “Notes from Toyota-Land”, which paints a not-so-pretty picture of Toyota’s (and Japan’s in general) management practices. • And apparently, earlier in the year a panda was saddened. It’s worth noting much of the sh*t hit the fan after Toyota chairman Hiroshi Okuda stepped down. It may be a complete coincidence. However, is it possible he saw this coming or is it that Toyota is starting to falter because Okuda isn’t at the helm? Variance’s Final Thought Toyota needs to calm the f*ck down. Now it’s entirely possible Toyota is simply being more proactive in noting problems with their products and getting them fixed...or it just could be any combination of over-ambitiousness, laziness and/or sloppiness. Either way, this isn’t helping their image one bit (though there’s no indication [yet] that it’s hurting it that much either). Rather than striving to be number one in the world, they need to concentrate on being a good runner-up. If they can’t handle the problems they are having within themselves now, there’s no way they are ready to be the number one automaker in the world (nor do they deserve it). Toyota, you need to handle your business, kid.

Let's face it, Camino... The car obviously doesn't want to leave you and deep down you probably don't really want to sell it. Seriously, I'd just store it away and let it appreciate in value.
