  1. I don't see the 350Z having a problem. It's a two-seater sports car, vastly different from an Altima coupe. To a lesser extent, I don't see it stepping on the G coupe's toes too much, either; it's still pretty sport-oriented itself.
  2. DCX Admits to Bank of Unreported Unsold Vehicles (Piggy bank...LOL?) Bracing for an anticipated third-quarter loss of $1.5 billion, and squirming under the hot spotlight of a new cost-cutting initiative, Chrysler Group now admits its vehicle stocks were higher than reported. A pool of unsold vehicles in July and August went unreported in the auto maker’s figures under a little-used practice for counting inventory, Ward’s uncovers, indicating Chrysler’s overall market picture was bleaker than the industry was led to believe. Soaring gasoline prices and the resulting negative impact on pickup and SUV deliveries was blamed for Chrysler’s poor sales performance in the period. During the two months, the auto maker continued to run production, building a “bank” of up to 100,000 unsold vehicles that were not counted as inventory, a spokesman confirms. 3. Honda Pilot Production to be Fully Moved to AL Yes, it's pretty much a slow news day... Honda of America Mfg. Inc. says it will move all Pilot cross/utility vehicle production to its Lincoln, AL, plant in February to free up capacity to build 60,000 more Civics annually in North America. “We have been challenged to keep up with record customer demand for our lineup of fuel-efficient cars and trucks,” Dick Colliver, executive vice president-American Honda Motor Co. Inc., says in a statement. “Our flexible production system is a wonderful tool that enables Honda to better meet the demand of our customers and dealers in an efficient and timely way.” Honda will begin building the Civic in April at its Alliston, Ont., Canada, Plant 2, which the auto maker says won’t increase current production capacity of 390,000 units annually. 4. Are you familar with the concept of "joking around"? I think the smilies were a good hint.
  5. ABS, Airbags = False Sense of Security? A Purdue University research team that studied five years of motor vehicle accidents in Washington State concludes antilock brakes and airbags don't minimize accidents or injuries because those systems may encourage more aggressive driving. Fred Mannering, a Purdue professor of civil engineering, led the study. The results, which are bound to be controversial with auto makers and safety experts, say the innovations designed to improve safety also make drivers less vigilant. 8. In the Altima, 270 hp/258 lb-ft of torque.
  9. Why would they base an Altima coupe off of anything other than the Altima sedan?
  10. The link location changed. Fixed now.

  13. As stated above, it is not a RWD car and it should be quite a bit roomier than the G35. It may have a overall similar shape but the actual size should be larger than the G coupe.
  14. Well, being based on the Altima sedan, I don't see it being RWD (though it's be quite a suprise if it was).
  15. Spied: 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe A member on Car and Driver's forums snapped these pics of the new Altima Coupe. I'm guessing this will be released in mid to late 2007 as a 2008 model. The pics are somewhat small and a bit blurry but from what I can see, it's much nicer than the bubbly in comparison Accord and the just plain wierd Solara. 18. TCC Test: 2007 Hyundai Accent We can recall the days when cheap cars felt all of their description. This opinion is now obsolete thanks to the thoroughly modern and competitive offerings like the Accent SE, Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, and others. Hyundai takes it a step further: to quell concerns about quality and reliability, it backs the Accent with a five-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty plus a ten-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. Hyundai wants you to compare their Accent to the Yaris, Scion xA, Fit, and Chevrolet Aveo. After researching competitors, add the Chevrolet Cobalt and Ford Focus to that list. All of these cars offer solid transportation value at a dollar-store price. But none of them, especially not the Accent, belong in one. Read "No longer a dollar-store find." @ The Car Connection

  20. SEMA Preview: Maaco Medusa Mustang It appears that the theme of this year's SEMA show in Las Vegas will be "Gratuitous Tuning," the time honored art of adding plastic body kits, big wheels, lethal sound systems and origami doors to our favorite cars just for the hell of it. The latest car we've found is the Maaco Medusa Mustang, a pimped out pony car that left the fine line between good taste and garishness in the dust as fast as its 550-horsepower, supercharged engine could take it. 21. I think Japan atoned plenty when we atomic bombed them into near-obilivion. And I think choosing to fight alongside us in Iraq makes them a little more square with us. From where I'm sitting...the only real enemy we have now is a certain group called al-Qaeda and anyone who supports them. I just don't see this big, evil economic plot aganist America being undertaken by certain foreign nations that you seem to. That's all.
  22. Razor, just what is it that you want? How long are we supposed to dwell on this? This is why I hate when old Nazi/WWII bull$h! is brought up here.
  23. I'd take the Aurora and maybe the Bravada. They can keep the others.
  24. Saleen Camaro a Possibility? Steve Saleen (founder of Saleen Performance, manufacturer of limited edition, high-performance vehicles) in a recent interview with Road and Track Magazine hints that there may very well be a Saleen edition of the upcoming Camaro. Saleen has already had a hand in the history and marketing of the Camaro concept car, as the manufacturer of the Bumblebee Camaro car for the big screen movie edition of The Transformers. When asked of manufacturing a Saleen versino of the new Camaro, Steve Saleen is quoted as saying “It’s not legally official right now, but that’s what we’re hoping for.” Read "Saleen Camaro and 2009 Camaro engines revealed by Steve Saleen" @ Camaro5
