  4. got a netgearwnr3500L... and my win7 desktop can't sleep and bring the network back up when it wakes up. gigabit both sides, didn't have this issue with an old belkin. think it could be drivers?
  5. just doing some ratio power figures, even if the 6.2L hits 400hp (hopefully more like 420) the 4.3 should hit 300hp with 300lbft also, if not be close.. ....why can't this be the "hybrid version" with an updated 2-mode? --only kinda serious about this....
  6. didn't dwight do a estimate for an updated 4.3L?
  7. i'll chime in *insert pic of chime* http://www.imdb.com/...0424060/ close to my age too.. 1 1/2 years iz gewd.

  12. anyone read/see RP's farewell to congress? i read most of it, would like to see his speech. slow internet keeps me from that.
  13. once we make electricity production much more dense, using power to do this will become a non issue... like if we want electrolysis machines in our homes to power a car with fuel cells ....or whatever. Olds, i was kinda surprised by your failure of basic chemistry... of imagining a reverse combustion equation. no offense.
  14. 2 more things to look at what the differenc ebetween amd and intel with.. intel is one node ahead, amd is going 28nm next, and then maybe 20 in 2 years, not positive though. and bulldozer was "hand drawn", pile driver was mostly extension addition, and the .use of the 3rd party tech for ~10% less power or ~10% faster....as far as the less technical people would care about. iirc in 2 more years the design will be computer aided, maximizing space usage. it'd be like moving the design to the next node. it's exciting, but also a "why couldn't you do this before"?
  15. I agree, the bulldozer architecture obviously has problems in single threaded apps and ones that don't use the latest and greatest extensions.... but it is also the last gen for the high performance proc. w/o a gpu in it, supposedly. but also you're mixing target audiences i think...."most people" don't need an i5, and certainly not an FX chip.
  16. "as life get's longer all of it feels softer and it feels pretty soft to me" the curse of being "civilized" is "kids" take to long to realize they aren't superman, aren't always popular, and shouldn't always get want they want.
  17. OCN, care to take your stab at the +s and -s

  20. less meal time to sit and talk while we eat... it prolongs the eating meaning your intake after you're full to the point you're full signal hits you is less.
  21. when they give their bulk entry car something competitive (corolla) like a 6 speed and more than only the 1.8L, then "we" might sit up interested again, maybe not for the styling, but because maybe they are moving forward (and not just with the prius, or lexus)
  22. another captiva, red, texas plates.
  23. GPU tests were allowed to be loose in the wild today. http://www.anandtech.com/show/6332/amd-trinity-a10-5800k-a8-5600k-review-part-1/5
