  1. Pre-1973: When cars were cars and gas was water Toyota/Honda Hatred Why Does Pontiac Even Bother? Over The Top Predictions Bad Photoshop Bonus: $15K BOF RWD 500-BHP V-8 Chevy Two-Door Coupes
  2. I don't think anything that small says Hummer.... And I also have to complain about there being nothing for Pontiac in the pipeline.... Notice how no one complained about Saturn or Saab.... :)
  3. Everyone got super happy about the 407 coupe when we had the old forum, and now that we're back, everyone wants to sweep that enthusiasm under the rug?
  4. Yeah, I think Renault of today is pretty "eghhhh" inspiring, but the overall history and potential is something we missed out on in the 90s, but have a chance to taste again. Citroen's improved in leaps and bounds, as has Peugeot and Alfa. I think the only one out of the group that isn't doing anything right now I'm screaming for is Lancia....but I think being in the most competitive markets improves the breed, just like racing.
  5. POD to me always came off as simply a good rock group who happened to be Christians..... It's not like they're DC Talk, where the Christianity comes to the front fo the line way ahead of their musical ability.
  6. I don't think he meant a four-door GTO, just a sedan to provide the chassis the GTO is on with the volume (read: parts) enthusiasts would need.
  7. Yeah, the 98 versions did....I went reading after I made the post, and the body and chassis was made by an Italian company called Magnum for government use. This guy who went out there decided to import the rolling chassis, install Ford drivetrains, and market them here as luxury SUVs with the name Laforza in 1989.
  8. I've been of the feeling since the merger that Infiniti should be the best of both Nissan and Renault tech- and trimwise, as opposed to simply rear-drive Nissans rebadged for world consumption. As a result, Infiniti should be moved even further upmarket. This would create plenty of room for Renault and Nissan to fill their lines back up with near-luxury and performance cars. Maybe the G and M should be badged as Princes again. Just the weird way I think, hard at work.
  9. I don't think having the exact same chassis, with a few tweaks here and there in regards to tune, means you have to use the same body, interior, and engines....
  10. Am I the only one who thinks the GTO should neither be a stand alone model nor based on a big car?
  11. So I guess the flexible Epsilon idea is over, eh? It's going to stay a strict front-driver? That's gonna suck. GM could easily take the lead in that segment vith rear-drive volume intermediates. It also sucks that G6 shouldered ALL the weight as being the problem child, BTW... Does this also mean the G6 convertible is over, as production-ready as it looked on the auto show circuit?
  12. HEY!! I like the Lancer wagon myself. But this concept is quite nice, one can only hope it's actually a sport compact as opposed to some corny highrider crossover...
  13. Saw a lot last night that had FOUR Laforzas in it. Was hat thing supposed to be based on the Bronco or something?
  14. You think Christian rock is bad, Christian rap ain't too hot either.... Gospel is probably the only worth-a-damn Christian music out there...musically anyway.... But then, is anything as bad as reggaeton?
  15. Is there anything in the pipeline so far? I've heard about Renault talking of a big car specifically tailored ot this market. What about Peugeot?

It's unfortunate, but we all know Honda will be given all kinds of kudos and props for being "forward" and "futuristic" and "taking a chance"....because you know you're gonna see this thing on the street heavily, goofy areas be damned.....it will push all the other compacts to do some of the same things, because it's considered one of the benchmarks to compete with in the U.S. The Cobalt's perfectly cool with me, especially the SS coupe, but we all saw this coming....
  17. As far as what I saw which I actually knew what the hell it was: -06 Impala #2 -300C limo #5 -a Ford 500 on 20-something rims!! I guess it was a matter of time. -63/64 Pontiac Grand Prix Plus about a week and change ago, I spotted a red Dodge Spirit R/T.
  18. Add Land Rover (who I've always respected) to the battle, then I REALLY want to see who comes out on top.
  19. I don't know.... While I've always been interested in the Equus, since I saw the first AWD version at the LA auto show years ago, I'm not too sure about some of the elements of this car. Rear-drive? Great! 270-horse V-6? Cool BASE engine, but where's the V-8? Is it much bigger than the upcoming Azera? And interiorwise, the steering wheel is whatever, but the dash looks kinda dated with that wavy 90s look; I'd like to see something more chiseled. Exterior should deliver, as long as they don't concave the fenders and give it an out-of-place grille, as the Koreans tend to do quite often.
  20. A car company named brilliance falls in line with names like Prince or Saturn.....just give the car brand a name people can pronounce and somewhat respect, since obviously any name in Chinese doesn't pack much tradition, not to mention simply sounds heavy-handed in usage.
  21. Wouldn't you agree that length, width, height, track, and wheelbase make cars feel different when it comes to handling?

By the way, Chicagoland, nice name... I wonder when NewYork will show up....

Honda has all these mandates against what they would do with the H badge. No big cars, no V-8s, no turbos....whatever...

I think the Impala's market is automatic. And if there was a Camaro, folks would get right on it... As far as that Civic, if they brought the hatchback here also, then we'd know Honda was serious.
  25. It's basically a wheel ad....ignore it. Wheel companies of today are weak compared to what the big boys were doing in the 90s.
