I'm in LA LA land for the weekend. Planned it (bought a ticket) a long time ago not knowing I would be here last month for the AIA convention. But that's ok, the convention didn't leave much time for So Cal "hanging out."

Probably road trip here and there on each of the different days and see a college friend in San Diego on Monday. I'm about to go back to the rental car agency to swap out my Impala for something else. No "June gloom" in the AM which means the day will tend toward the hot.

What are C&G-ers doing on the 4th?

lol No, they moved from Michigan about 4-5 years ago because my buddy's dad had a better job opportunity.

Giving you $h!, keep in mind I live in MO, the state that spoons with TN at night.

Anywho, if last night was any indication, my 4th will be exciting, since my stupid WT neighbors spent all night setting off fireworks.

Started with me Thursday night. Went bar hopping with JoCaine.....imagine a 6'4" 275lb person in the passenger seat of my Solstice LOL

Last night I took off and went to bed at 11:30ish......

Tonight JoCaine plays the Post Bar in Mt. Clemens which is going to be off the HOOK!

Being a lazy SOB for a change. The firm is giving us Monday off, so I get a four day weekend. I'm golfing tomorrow with some friends from high school, and then watching the fireworks Tuesday night before I head back to Des Moines.

Some friends were supposed to call me this afternoon ... to do something tonight (including a potential "set up date"), but of course, they didn't call ... nor returned my call to them.

Ah, well.

I have to work Monday ... so the possiblity of a short road trip is out of the question.....

Well, it was a beautiful day today at the beach, perfect breeze, sunshine, refreshing water, even though traffic going down was a royal beeotch. I hope to make one more daytrip before winding down. I start my new job Monday. Edited by ocnblu

My best friend is getting married on the fourth...so I might have one or two things to do with that.

But I posted in a different thread what im doing this week. going to DC, but not for visting.

I will be blowing my hand off tomorrow with some circa 10-yr old fireworks that largely made it thru a fire/dousing. Look for markedly more typos from me coming to a message board near you soon.

thats horrible man, my prayers go out to you.

I'm going to a party at my boses and I will watch the NYC fireworks from the roof of his building. Then I will have hungover work the next day, mid week 4th of july's suck ass
