Nissan North America, Inc. today announced pricing on the all-new 2007 Nissan Versa Hatchback, which goes on sale June 23 at Nissan dealers nationwide. The starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the newest addition to the Nissan lineup is $12,450 for the Versa 1.8 S with a standard 122-horsepower 1.8-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine and 6-speed manual transmission.

Good pricing. Side airbags are standard, too, a feature missing on other cars in its class. The only problem is the late availability automatic transmission. If people do not want a manual they have to get the top-of-the-line CVT version.

I think the Versa 5door is a very attractive car. Then again I think alot of those little cars are cool...I had a field day in Europe last year with all the Smarts that were running around along with Fiats, and others...

Looks like the French have more control over Nissans designs now.

I don't think thats a good think. Aveo looks alot better, though GM does need to get up to date with the engine.
