With the LaCrosse Super and Enclave debuting in '07 as 2008 models, what comes next for Buick.

When does the next generation LaCrosse debut? I read it is Epsilon, what does that mean?

Will there be the rumored coupe/convertible/Velite?

When is the Lucerne slated for a refresh?

The Epsilon II Lacrosse is the next car for Buick. It comes out in very early 2009 as a 2010 model. The next Lucerne is on Zeta, and will probably come out in 2010 or so.

Super was an Olds not a Buick... but hell make a zeta-based

Roadmaster Super already! The Velite was nice but a HT

Riviera along the lines of the 71-72 Boat Tails would be even

cooler and more revitalizing for the brand.

Wrongola.

Oldsmobile used Super like Pontiac used SE, SLE, SSE, SSEi, as a trim designator. Buick used it like as it would Century and Roadmaster, as the model.

Buick Super was a full-fledged model from 1940 until 1958 when it was supplanted by the Electra.

Olds' Super Eighty-Eight ran from 1951 until 1964. Since Super was used as a designator/trim level of the Eighty-Eight model, and the Eighty-Eight nameplate's continued use '65+ after the Super moniker was dropped, and the coexistence of the Dynamic Eighty-Eight (1958-1966) as a trim designator for a 'base' Super Eighty-Eight, I would give full rights of the name to Buick.

Plus, who has ever talked about their "1957 Oldsmobile Super" as opposed to "1957 Buick Super"?

Bengal comes in the summer of 2007, look for it at NAIAS.

Whoa!  This is huge!  The Bengal is being produced?  We need details.

Joshiepoo? :AH-HA_wink:

If it's coming in the summer of 2007, I'm inclined to be suspicious like some others here. That seems awefully close to not know anything about it.

Now.... if the Velite was produced and called the Bengal, that I could believe :)

Oh, and that'd be SWEET :)

joshiepoo!!!

what...kappa? is it going to be like the concept or not?

you tryin to make someone mad :P

Another Kappa makes sense for a few reasons:

1. They need a car for Tiger, a car people will believe he drives.

2. They want to limit production of the Sky and Solstice to keep residuals high. Creating another Kappa would protect Sky and Solstice, while meeting the demand of people who want a Kappa.

3. GM invested a lot in the concept, might as well make it.

4. Buick needs a halo car.

I guess.  I don't get it.  This is a great website with credible information.  Are we supposed to doubt everything we read here from now on?

I WAS being sarcastic although I was unaware the Super 88 name

dates all the way back to '51. I recently saw a flat black early '50s

Buick Super sporting moon eyes. It was pretty cool. I guess I

should have used a smiley. :P
