I copied this from the PDF link from another thread. Looks pretty good with the two-tone coloring and Navigation screen. The new steering wheel is a nice change too.

Some minor changes to the exterior as expected.

Obviously not a real photo but it looks slightly better than the current interior. Hopefully materials quality is improved.

Yes. I'm sure it's not an actual photo but it shows that GM is at least bringing some much needed color and technology to the interior.. even if they are just options.

EDIT: No.. it's some sort of purple color. The photo is a little dark to tell.

Meh, it's a nice upgrade but nothing that's going to set the world on fire. Aside from NAV, the steering wheel is the biggest improvement I feel, the faux wood isn't that great, IMO.

I'm more interested in how they're going to update the styling to match the new GMT-900s...

And, yes, the interior is a big improvment.

I doubt an exterior update will happen until at least 2009. I'm surprised GM didn't at least change the grill to match the GMT900s like they did with some Trailblazer models.

Oh.. and I don't think we are looking at wood in the picture. I think it's just colored plastic.

The interior plastic color appears to be the same "Black Amethyst Metallic" that's available on the Equinox. Perhaps the Equinox will offer interior plastic trim that matches the exterior?

I wonder if the Torrent receives the same updates or will it keep the original interior to keep them different? (The PDF shows a 2006 Torrent Interior)

I like the change a lot--isn't the nose supposed to be different for 07? Like, removing the large chrome bar?

Well the bumpers are definitely different in the photo, and in the ordering guides that were linked a while back. I hope the grille and light assemblies are updated. I see the "yesterday" chromed housing taillights remain though.

I think the interior trim that looks purple is plood. It just looks purple because it is an animation/fake photo.

I have serious doubts whether or not "mainstream" GM has an actual sense of design. I like the Torrent's interior, particularly in cream/black, but I'm starting to fear that the results were all luck. Sometimes the artlessness of GM is just staggering.

I hope they have simplified the radio buttons. My buddy has one and I have tried to figure out that radio and its like I'm drunk or something when I go to change the station or anything for that matter. The damn thing is like trying to read the writing in a pyramid crypt, terrible absolutely terrible!!

When the all-american chinese design a new engine of course. As a child of the fake burled walnut 70's and 80's, I have a natural aversion to anything involving "fake wood". How about a nice soft-touch plastic that matches the rest of the interior (ie. NOT BLACK!)?

The steering wheel looks busy as hell. You'd have to be Mr. Sulu to understand how it works!
