Yeah, I'm disgusted, too. :puke:

Oh God, that front is worse than the Ridgeline! :duh:

Gross!

It looks similar to a Pacifica from the mirrors back, especially the rims, and I think the headlights look Outlook-esque.:thumbsdown:

I understand it's going to have a catchy Engrish model name for the domestic market: Honda Platypus.

Yeh it's pretty ugly. Good thing the front end won't look at all like that, considering it's just a drawing from some Japanese magazine. I don't even know where the artist got the idea for it, it looks horrible, nothing lines up. He should be shot.

Btw, here's the whole article over at TOV (at least post a link if you are going to hotlink to their images).

The "mini-SUV" rendering at the link looks like an Element with 4 conventional doors, which wouldn't be a bad idea.

I hope this is not the next-gen CR-V. Japanese car mags are known for putting out these outrageously nasty renditions.

As opposed to the Japanese model name?

This is bland and stuck in 1998 but it's a LOT

better than the Element & Ridgeline... unless

Toyota redesigns the ECHO the Ridgeline will

be the reigning king of UGLY & DEFORMED

for many years to come!

Since we're on the topic of Engrish.com....

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Aztek has that title permanently.

no, the RIDGELINE INDEED is worse.

Something about this front end was never meant to be put on a car. It looks as if they took a pontiac car, and their already ugly grille, and added half of another car on top of it, and called it a day.

Does Hyundai know that Honda is planning to graft a new snout on the Santa Fe. All this is is some bloke photoshopping an existing car. Just like what happens in the competitions at this site.

Same can be said for the CR-V. It looks like a smiling baboon.

So many anti-Honda comments based off a crappy artist rendition & a photo of an SUV wrapped in plastic. What, did a Honda beat the crap out of you guys on the playground or something? Sheesh...

Regarding the Aztek v. Ridgeline debate... the Aztek's concept version was actually rather attractive. When you compare the concept with the production version, you can see it was clearly a good idea gone horribly wrong.

While the proportions & C-pillar on the Ridgeline are way-off, and I personally think it's ugly, nothing - absolutely nothing - not even a Gremlin or Pacer - comes close to the horrid ugliness of an Aztek.

Concept Aztek... no beauty queen, but at least body panels line up & some of the lines continue for more than a few inches...

Posted Image

Sorry... couldn't find a bigger pic.

Compare that with the production turd...

It's as if they looked at the concept & said, "How can we REALLY screw this up?"

The Ridgeline, on the other hand, looked goofy as a concept AND production model!!!:D

^ The body-colored panels really did help on the appearance.

As for the ugliest Honda...I thought the Element took the title?

Why's the poor Aztek have to take a shot everytime ugly comes up? My 2002 just hit 85K miles and besides being one of the most functional vehicles I've ever owned, it's also been one of the most reliable.

So what if it looks a little funny from the rear doors back... :-p
