Volvo Reports May Sales

ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (June 1, 2018) - Volvo Car USA, LLC, (VCUSA) reported U.S. sales of 9,338 vehicles for the month of May, an increase of 50.6 percent from the same period last year. Year-to-date VCUSA has sold 37,754 vehicles, an increase of 40.9 percent from the previous year.

The XC90 was the top seller for May with 3,074 sales recorded, followed directly by the XC60 and XC40.

“May proved to be another strong month for Volvo Car USA led once again by our award-winning SUV line,” said Anders Gustafsson, President and CEO, Volvo Car USA. “Sales between our three SUV models XC90, XC60 and XC40 accounted for 76 percent of our monthly volume, with the new XC60 having it’s best month to date.”
