It's actually a very awesome luxury coupe that Subaru put out. The dash is covered in suede leather and the center stack hides behind a real wood door panel. The window-in-window design was very unique... but made drive-thru windows a pain in the ass. Friends of mine rated it best interior for luxury coupes two years in a row while it was out (when I was a teenager, we’d go to the Dallas Auto Show and rate the cars.)

Its actually very cool aside from those tollboth windows. Its a lousy, cluttered look that almost ruins an otherwise slick design.

Weird-ass cars these things are, especially for those damn half windows which I never ever got. There's a guy around here that comes by my work in one every now and again; a white '93 model if I remember. There's also a guy around here still driving his silver '86 XT coupe; another weird offering by Subaru. The car looks like a giant wedge!

Print yourself one out, cut it, and fold it up if you don't believe me!

The half-window design was made so when the windows were fully down, it wouldn't hurt the aerodynaimc properties of the car (no drag). I think it was to reduce wind noise as well but I'm not sure about that.

Subaru SVX=awesome.  I want one, they have boxer 6 engines and AWD, but are automatic only.

Agreed... too bad they're auto only. My buddy Alex almost bought one

back in the late 90s.... I was telling him to do it but he went wiht a

used Blazer instead.

XP: Speaking of the XT Coupe remember how the

chick in BIG (Tom Hanks) drives one? :D

Hell, throw some "newer" guages on there and a newer steering wheel and I bet that interior would still be pretty decent even by today's standards...

EDIT: and the shifter, and radio...well, you get the point

The exterior is sorta interesting...teh windows are like what you'd find on a DeLorean

The designer behind both the Delorean and this Subaru was Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign. :)
