2017 J.D. Powers IQS Study Out - Top Brand 2nd Year in a Row - KIA!

2017JDPowersIQS.jpg

Amazing but Kia is the top brand for the 2nd year in a row and while they talk about some of the history of when these reports started, one of the more interesting foot notes is that American brands have surpassed Asian and German brands in 3 of the last 5 years. On top of this is the interesting not about how Mercedes Benz was one of the best auto assembly lines and quality products way back when and now can only tie with Chrysler Corp for middle of the pack quality with 102 defects per 100 auto's built. So every auto MB builds has a defect and in some cases two. Course they also show how Cadillac has slipped as this year they are 105 defects out of 100 auto's built. Fiat as usual comes in last at 162 defects per 100 auto's built.

Also, Buick, Ford, Lincoln, Chevrolet, Ram all above average...so much for American cars being unreliable!
