Of course. I bought the ARs in 17x8 17x9. Any clue on what the tires size I should shoot for. I'm thinking 245/50/17 on fr and 245/45/17on rear

I dunno... I'm thinking that the rears should be juuuust a little larger than the fronts but maintaining the same "50" aspect ratio.  I just don't think an aspect ratio lower than 50 works on classic American iron.  Maybe a 255/50-17?  Probably a question best answered by the pros at your tire shop

Height, IMO, is your critical factor here.
Stock '66 sneaker would've been a 6.70x15 which equates to a 205/75-15, which is 27" tall.
A 245/50-17 is 26.6" tall.
Every '10' the middle number rises, the tire gets 2" taller : a 245/60-17 would be 28.6".

so why not go for 245/55/17 which would be 27.6?

Took her for a spin.. This car is a DRAGster.. If I want to make it a real cruiser... I'm gonna have to go 2.73 gears or 3.07. This is 4.10

Wheels in place and everything I spoke of as an issue in post #1 rectified. 17x8 front and 17x9..5 rear running 245/45/17 and 275/40/17 rear. Meet Thelma

Damn, she's wound up pretty tight then! 4.10's is definitely shorter than you'd want cruising. Personally, I'm not sure if I'd want to go as tall as 2.73 but it all depends what your goals with the car are. It's obviously a toy to economy aren't a concern. What RPM is it when cruising at 70mph?

Also, looking at what you and balty were talking about(tire sizes) it looks like your 275/40R17 rear tires are a good bit shorter than the stock 205/75R15's. That's gearing you down even more. So really, your speedo is just a guestimate right now..hahaha.  27.1inches stock vs 25.6 inches @ 275/40R17. That's significant.

She looks absolutely beautiful though!

Can't say I am a fan of the Impala, but nice wheels and color.

1994 Chevy Impala SS.

Loved this car, was not in a place to buy one and I wish the suspension was a bit tighter. But the auto was awesome in a straight line, had plenty of interior room for us big guys and over all a family is very comfy in these babies! :D
