So I had a request to make these more difficult. So in an effort to do that, I'm creating one that will be different for everybody, but still be based off the same rules. It will span different amounts of time for different posters, so everyone will have different options available to them. Here's the rules-

1) You get to select ONE vehicle from 5 different points in your life. They are as follows...

2) You get one vehicle from your birth year.

3) You get one vehicle from the year when you turned 16.

4) You get one vehicle from the year when you turned 21. IF you are 30, OR older, you can choose one from the year you turned 25.

5) You get one vehicle from today. 2016 or 2017 MY, on sale now.

6) You get ONE bonus pick, that has no requirements other than being a series production car.

7) These DO NOT have to serve as your only vehicles.

@Frisky Dingo I just realized you're only a year older than me! We've done how many of these and age has been a part of it and it's just never stuck till now lol.

I dig the list too!

Yeah, I was a bit worried on the list. The specific years makes it easy to miss some high water marks, but I feel I still managed to put together a solid collection.

I think I have my list but the WILDCARD and 2017 I am not too confident. It actually got the most difficult on the wildcard one because it is literally just ANY car that I want. That's too much freedom!

1988: Ferrari F40

2004: Mustang Cobra(this one fell right into my lap :D )

2017: Raptor

WILDCARD: I got torn between a 911 Targo, 911 Turbo, some Mustang like a GT350/R or Cobra R, a hyper car like a 918 or Ford GT, Carerra GT, P1, McLaren F1, 2005 Ford GT, ZL1, Z06, ZR1... Soooo many cars to choose from.. If I'm being realistic I want something that I want to drive and not worry about putting miles on it and it depreciating like none other. I actually think I'd go with a 911 Turbo. I think if all these cars were in front of me it wouldn't be chosen because I wouldn't think rationally at all I would just "ohhh" and "ahhhh" over the rare exotics and pick one of them.

This is gonna be a boring one for me...and for you folk to see what Im gonna choose.

Why?

Ive posted these cars before...

Born in 1973...

My choice...1973 Pontiac Trans Am 455 SD.

I was 16 in 1989.

My choice...1989 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo 20th Anniversary.

So...in order to find something new to add to this thread, allow me some time to truly think it over and choose other cars Id like to own instead of me going to my usual repertoire.

OK...after a long deliberation on this matter its either a 455 SD from Pontiac or Rocket 455 V8 from Oldsmobile in 1973...

SDTA.jpg

I think the Olds/Hurst wins out after me looking at the pics I just posted.

1989 @ 16 years of age

As much as I wanna choose something different, I just seem to gravitate back to my heart and soul...

I had a real hard time ditching the 1973 Trans Am, but at least it was in favor for an Oldsmobile muscle car. That is where my heart is at anyways, but more for the A-Body and not for the colonnade body style, I mean I like the colonnade body style, its just that  I LUST over the late 60s A-Body...

OK..1989...

Pontiac Turbo Trans Am...over a BMW M635 csi or BMW 850...

Turbo_TA_20th_11b.jpg

Turbo_TA_20th_1.jpg

1994 @ 21 years old OR 1998 @ 25 years old...

Oh boy....this is tough...1998 is the year I choose and its between 2 absolutely gorgeous cars...both cars that are outside my identity but you would have to be a fool not to enjoy in a dream garage.

BMW Z8

bmw-z8-2002-e52-topasblau-topazblue-01-8

or Ferrari F355 F1

You know what the Greeks and Italians say: una faccia, una razza. Translastion: 1 face, 1 race

ItaliaGreciaBandiere.jpg

The gorgeous Italian wins!

Quite possibly the last absolutely good looking Ferrari made.

2016/2017 pick

Aston Martin DB11

And yes, in that grey colour. The grey grew on me...and besides....Im 43 years old...Im beginning to be an old geezer myself....(I said that the colour grey on cars is old fogey colour)

12-aston-martin-db11-843-photo-667946-s-

last pick: 1970 Oldsmobile 442

Not as different than to what I usually choose...but hey...these are some of the cars that get me giddy!

Mine will be slightly stranger:

1989: Dodge Caravan Turbo
2005: Mercedes-Benz E55 Wagon
2010: Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup Edition
Today: Lexus GS 350 F-Sport
Bonus: Chevrolet SS

At our most recent TDI club meeting we were all standing outside talking cars in the parking lot of the restaurant we met at, and a TDI cup special edition that was not affiliated with us drove through the parking lot.  Wanted one of those also.

Sadly, I do not think VW will have an EPA certified real for the gen 1 TDI common rail diesels, so most of these will sadly be crushed.

The Lexus and the SS are both lust worthy also.

Actually I like all of your choices. Wish I had bought the Honda you chose back when they were plentiful and cheap.  CTS is gorgeous and love the Tesla.

I had a chance to drive a TDI Cup w/ 6MT once. A fantastic little car. I would love to have one. A very unique, very cool, and very fun little package. I think if I had one, I'd tell VW to kick rocks w/ their Buy-Back offer.
