Question:  where is Nissan with a compact hatch?  The Versa is a size down and outclassed handily by all of those listed.  I say they needed a Sentra hatch YESTERDAY.  Who agrees?

I agree, although i am not a Nissan fan. As for the above cars, the only one I could actually see owning is the Mazda.

Shoot I had the Civic in my head when I was planning this thread, then I forgot it.  Local dealer has two Sport hatches with the center exhaust pipes, and a couple of EX's.  The Civic hatch is actually pretty cheap.  But ugly as sin.  I do like the battleship gray color though.

To me the Sentra just looks old as heck.  Adding a hatch to the current bodystyle is not going to happen, I was just saying they are letting their compacts ROT, and the SR Turbo is not going to breathe much life into the dowdy Sentra.  The Versa, while fine for my mom in hatch guise to run back and forth to the grocery store... is just not compelling in any way shape or form.

I do love the new Micra, it actually reminds me of a fetal version of the Murano.  I don't remember seeing the latest Pulsar.
