The Federal Trade Commission is now reviewing whether that 30-second spot and others like it touting Volkswagen's "Clean Diesel" engines amount to fraud, adding a new avenue for U.S. regulators to punish the German automaker for its emissions-rigging deception.

While the FTC can't send anyone to jail, it can go to federal court to protect consumers and negotiate settlements with wide-ranging penalties. Those could potentially include paying cash restitution to the affected car owners and forcing VW to buy new national ads admitting the company lied to customers.

I even called this one....Ill just leave it at that...and let Lady Justice do her thing.

If Lady Justice feels that VW did nothing wrong, than so be it...however if all the Lady Justices in this world from differing countries drop the hammer for consumer fraud on top of everything else...

I wont even respond to the inevitable defensive excuses some might have regarding THIS issue as well...

Ill be watching on the sidelines laughing.

Ouchy. forced to admit vie national ads that they lied. Now that'd be embarassing!

And a perfect way to stop consumer fraud...and to maybe humble some future greedy CEOs...

If VW had to play advertisements apologizing to the world for lying, Id make the CEOs that actually made this scandal happen the ones to deliver the message.
