Honda has a big product offensive coming soon and one of those key products is the new Ridgeline. Unlike the old model which had some clever ideas, but never made it on the sales chart, Honda is making more of an effort to make the next Ridgeline more 'truck'. A new set of spy shots show us how more 'truck' the Ridgeline will become.

The Ridgeline looks be adapting conventionally shaped crew cab rather than the oddly shaped one from the previous model. The front end looks to have same front end styling as the new Pilot. The Pilot will share its underpinnings with the Ridgeline as well, meaning it will get the 3.5L V6 and all-wheel drive system. A six-speed automatic will be standard transmission, but a nine-speed automatic is in the cards.

The Ridgeline is expected to be shown sometime this year, with sales beginning sometime next year.

Yes...the Honda Ridgeline IS offensive...Its offensive to its peers as it calls itself a truck....when it really isnt.

Yeah...I know...the article states that this version will be more "truck"...Truck is in quotation marks from the article...the Ridgeline will continue to be offensive...even more so this time around against its pick-up truck brethren as now...it will lie to try to pass off as a "truck", at least with the last generation...it just called itself a "truck" but it didnt try to hide the fact that it wasnt....this time around...it will try its best to impersonate one....

Insulting and offensive this Ridgeline is...its the Don Rickles of the truck world...actually, the Ridgeline is more like Rickles' punchlines...as both are jokes...

It really doesn't look or sound to be anything special.

I actually much more prefer the concept art of it in this article!

Side profile sucks, short nose and bed and huge crew cab just does not look right in it's proportions and as a Uni-body truck this is more inline with the old El Camino's than a real truck.

Same Fuel Economy.

4 times the utility.

Almost 100 more horsepower.

Loads more torque.

Real four-wheel drive

Good looks.

Can actually tow more than an inflatable boat.

Isn't based on a mini-van.
