Looks like self driving marketing deception is about to come crashing down to earth as China is looking to do what we have done for decades in protective measures of driving and what Musk is wanting to dismantle as he thinks Tesla knows better than the Feds.

This is so true, there is no way we will ever go back to the 1980's or early 1990's of assembly line jobs. Even if part makers and complete auto assembly lines come into the U.S. they will be heavily roboticized and as such, you will need educated repair people for the robots, but the days of so much human manual work is over.

Absolutely true, look at a picture of a 1960's motown plant and then look at a modern assembly line.

Very Interesting, Jeff Bezo is funding this EV Truck Startup that has been running since 2022.

I signed up for newsletter, but not much else is known about it.

Slate

Stories are coming out, will be interesting as Jeff Bezo is saying the truck will start at $25,000 which we have heard this before from others.

Had a relaxing weekend at the lake, albeit still a bit cold... highs only in the low 40s.  But sunny in the afternoons, great sunsets.  Saturday night about 8pm...last pic is the 'pink' moon at about 9pm Sat.  Crazy spring weather..70 and sunny at home yesterday afternoon, 43 and rain today.   Got to wash the Caddy, it got a lot of mud on it on one backroad near the lake where they were logging.

So happy for this woman in fighting Musk to prove her innocence. I hope she survives to the court hearing and wins.

Very cool Tech these 3 teens came up with.

3 teens invented a salt-powered refrigerator that doesn't need electricity. They're building 200 of them for hospitals to use.

This is pathetic and will hurt America and the Citizens long term.

This is very cool story, history of when GM started to look at building mass production EVs. Great video of the EV in the story.

Retro Rides: The 1969 all-electric GM XP 512E concept

Front ¾ view of the GM 512E.

The GM 512E with the canopy top raised and front entry door opened.

Seems GM is sitting on thousands of unsold BrightDrop vans. As such, they are going to lay off the CAMI plant workers till the fall and then only bring back a smaller group of workers.

GM throttles down BrightDrop production at CAMI plant

Seems the biggest part of the problem is that GM is over $20,000 more than the equal van from Ford in e-Transit form.

Mack Truck layofs, more economic news related to the auto industry coming.

We are only at the beginning of a Major Recession if not an outright depression due to Stagflation, the increase in inflation, increase in costs and all Americans being Fleeced by the Idiot Lemmings in DC allowing Idiot47 to destroy the country.

Seems the latest is that most auto assembly workers are living pay check to pay check. As such, when companies lay off to stop production due to the economic down turn, many will loose everything I fear.

Sad that so many studies show 3 out of 4 workers are living paycheck to paycheck in the U.S.

2025 wage reality: Millions of workers living paycheck to paycheck

This is one of the best in depth reads on all income levels and how or why they live paycheck to paycheck.

People blame wages for being why we can't make great things, but Festool tools are made in Germany, and are fantastic. Lots of good European and Japanese tools, and they actually pay their workers better than Americans, with better benefits.

I'm a little sad about the death of Pope Francis.  He was a more humane Pope. (Well, it could be deciphered that was not a fan of Agent Orange, so there you go.)

I hope they are careful in selecting the next Pope.  They need to be very careful.

I find it interesting when people find the strength to make it to an important milestone.  He circulated among the faithful on Easter Sunday, shaking hands and hugging children, I'm told.  He died the following day.  Being just a casual Catholic, I'm touched by this.

Yes sad but he did have his time.

While not a religious person, I was happy he was from humble roots in Brazil. He related to the common humanity across our globe way better than some pops that came from well to do backgrounds and felt they were a cast above the lowest group of homeless people.
RIP Pope Francis.

The green 63-64 Ford and the Green T-Bird are hot as hell.

The blue Benz is easy on the eyes also.

This wagon is damn near perfect, I love this turquoise color from Ford.

Crazy American's willing to gamble on poor leadership in Tesla. Makes no sense and like ERON, I now feel that TESLA will be a scam that leaves the stockholders crying in the future years.

TESLA = PONZI scam

I also still like Stihl and have my Dads chain saw that still runs great. Newer stuff might be more questionable.

What, exactly, is Tesla doing to scam stockholders? How are they like Enron?
