It used to be nice to visit Stbx every now and then.

Their prices may not be prohibitive, but, now, they are ridiculous.  A medium hot tea was $ 2.45 or $ 2.65 and it's now $ 3.75.

My whole family has stopped going to Starbucks except when on a road trip as they know what they will get, due to the cost here, it is crazy to spend the kind of money they are asking for drinks when you can make it at home for such a fraction. Example is a venti black coffee is $7 here in Seattle, my wife makes her own blend at home and has it for 70 cents. No reason to go to Starbucks and give them so much money.

IDIOT 47 just announced on his Stupid social media site that on his first day in office he will sign a presidential directive to charge Canada and Mexico a 25% tariff on all products coming into the U.S.

Trump's Tariffs Will Likely Hit Prices in These Seven Industries

Consider getting stuff now that can last on the shelf for these industries:

  • Automobiles and Automotive parts
  • Agricultural Products
  • Electronics
  • Mineral fuels and oils
  • Plastics and Plastic Products
  • Machinery and Industrial Equipment
  • Aluminum and Steel Products

So if your a foodie who enjoys cooking, I looked up, consider getting ziploc freezer bags, aluminum foil, cooking utensils, etc. get ready for a 25% increase in cost. Reynolds Aluminum company has already said that they will pass along the full 25% tariff cost to the consumer affective the week the tariff goes into effect. :(

And, then, the deplorables will not blame him for inflation because something else must be causing it.

Also, he doesn't "do" anything.  He knows some, but not a lot.  The puppeteers make all these calls.  He has an econ degree from Penn for which he won't let the transcripts be publicized.  The puppeteers often have graduate level schooling in economics, law, and policy and that's what they've habitually done for a living.  He just flaps his gums and talks tough.

I truly hope this is true, it seems to be and of course many GOP house and Senate members have stated they are not wanting to change IRA since it would affect Billions their states have given to auto companies to build plants for the EV industry in their states.

Is it common for presidents to have their college transcripts publicized? That seems really odd, if so.

You always seem to want to defend in ANY way possible this Donald J. Trump fellow.  I know you say you are the independant voter type, but it seems very odd to me that you always seem to have some sort defense for him. And all Republican type politicians.  I really dont care what voter you are and how you vote. Just a pattern I sees.  It would be a brain twister for me trying to figure you out had you defended Biden or Harris like you do with Trump when @ocnblu was putting on his show against Obama and Biden, but Im not here to start a political thing with you.  I simply dont care. Just wanted to tell you that Ive picked up a certain pattern with you.

But...Imma gonna ask you if you feel its kinda odd for Trump and friends to question Harris if she ever worked at McDonald's and to ask for proof.  I will admit its kinda odd for a politician to lie about a place of work that may or may not have happened. But to ask for tax slips and pay stubs to a middle aged person (Harris) about a teenager job that she had is kinda odd to me.  Who keeps those slips that long anyway? And...to try to belittle somebody about such a MUNDANE thing but for ALL Trump and friends and followers to ACCEPT BLATANT Trump lies about MORE SERIOUS issues is even odder to me...

In my 52 years almost on this planet called earth, I havent quite heard another politician quite like Donald J. Trump huff and puff sooooo much hatred with so called toughness.  I wasnt alive when Hitler was doing his schtick, so I cant compare Hitler with Trump, but ODDLY enough (that word again that you used and I want to point out just like you like to point out odd things), Trump seems to want to compare himself with Hitler at EVERY turn on his own.  Nobody else but him and his favorite media personalities endorse it as well.

So no...not like ever other politician. IN THE WORLD let lone DC.  Well maybe Putin the last 2-3 years threatening the West( that is us if you havent noticed) with Nuclear attack.

Oh...just to be clear.  Its thanx to Trump's divisional tactics in his political world and his so called leadership that has weakened and divided Americans that Putin had the balls to attack and try to capture the entirety of Ukraine and it is Trump himself that has caused Word War 3 because make no misytake about it, the planet IS experiencing WW3 right now. Pray it does NOT escalate to harsher weaponry...  ALL because Trump talks 'tough'.   With his ALLIES...

I know that this secrecy was mentioned, as if he was a legacy admit and didn't perform well, with some profs weighing in on that.  We know when a VIP politician is on law review, magna/summa, a Fulbright, or a Rhodes scholar.

Ditto with Schwarzenegger ... not even the mayor of a small town.  When there was a teacher's pay settlement thing dragging on and on, he said in his Austrian accent that 'whoever' would 'stay in there until resolved and that it could smell' ... urine or feces, possibly.  Brown or Newsom know how the machine works and are much less likely to utter such stupidities.

I'm apolitical until I see idiocy.  I will gladly vote for a good and normal Republican (a RINO), but the other side is much less amenable to voting Dem due to lower education which leads to more black and white thinking and critical thinking skills that aren't as sharp.

I'd be insulted if someone called me a liberal.  I just like moderation when possible.

Since the late 1950's most presidents have shared their tax returns for the last few years and education information allowing the public to view if they are competent and deemed educated enough to handle the job of President.

Idiot 47 / 45 has refused to allow anything to be reviewed about his life and I would have to say this is probably based on his own criminal nature, lawsuits lost that he still tries to overturn and his blatant disregard for our laws, constitution, etc.

Most voters have not ever paid attention to the education validation and tax returns, but with Idiot he has brought this on himself by trying to hid everything behind lawyers who many have lost their ability to be a lawyer due to lying for him.

Why would anyone risk their own integrity for such a buffoon is beyond me, one can only hope that he truly goes 6 feet under asap as I think many can then better deal with the idiot vp he choose.

Its true that I havent seen you complain the last 4 years. But I havent seen you LIVID about that little stunt Trump pulled on election night in November 2020 and leading up to January 6 2021.

He gathered ALL these phoquing yahoos and created a mess out of your country WORSE than ALL the phoquing politicians COMBINED in your country's almost  250 years.  Ill even add MY country's politicians as well. No other American OR Canadian politician has EVER dared to do something like that.  Benedict Arnold's treasonous act is less ominous as Arnold was not a politician, he was just a ranked soldie, in BOTH British and soon to be newly found country of America armies  I might add, BUT he didnt betray your legal document that DEFINES your country. Your democracy, your freedom and your Constitution was SEVERELY tested that day and he has YET to be held accountable for it and he WILL pardon himself for it...

Of ALL the rotten shyte that ANY politician or royal figure has EVER done to ANY of its peoples and their country, they ALL eventually have faced the consequences. Napolean to Hitler, Marie Antoinette to Stalin. They ALL have faced a hanging, beheading or exile. Some commited suicide to avoid repercussions but they ALL HAVE FACED THE CONSEQUENCES of phoquing around.  FAFO

But Trump is LAUGHING at ALL Americans. Including YOU.  As in YOU 'you'.

50,000 vehicles now at 25% ice and 75% electric, but still the same price $2.98 Billion dollars at an average price of $59,600. But of course, the USPS had agreed that changes would be billed as an extra cost that our FEDs gave the USPS so an undefined bloated costs compared to readily available commercial electric vans.

USPS Places Order for 50,000 Next Generation Delivery Vehicles; 10,019 To Be Electric - Newsroom - About.usps.com

Then the updated contract that USPS would buy now up to 165,000 of these weird looking delivery vans.

Sadly we could have saved billions if they bought the electric vans from Ford, GM, Mercedes, but nope got to waste tax payer money on paying a military contractor that is clueless about commercial autos and so they start to build another inefficient ICE truck, but that is still moving forward but only as a 25% of the contract and still way more expensive than if they bought from the Detroit or German auto companies, instead OshKosh Military built an electric Platypus mail delivery van that only gets 79 miles of range when in comparison to commercially available electric vans.

The Ford e-transit gets 159 Miles at an average transaction price of $46,200.

The GM BrightDrop electric van gets 250 miles of range at an average transaction price of $62,725 but with a much better range and is double the size. This being the BrightDrop 600, the smaller 400 is just now going into production that would compete with the Ford e-transit and is supposed to have a starting price around $45,000

The Mercedes electric version gets 248 miles at an average transaction price of $42,189.

All cheaper than the stupid contract with a defense contractor that has never build a commercial product that competes with others.

The Idiot45 administration should have kept it to existing auto companies and not allowed themselves to be swayed by military folks pushing to let them build the mail delivery van of the future.

That little stunt above is a wrok of TREASON.

Because you see what YOU wrote there?

Trump share McDonald's with RFK Jr., Elon Musk, Donald Jr. and Speaker Johnson | Fox News

Why is it that I am LIVID for YOUR country?   What is happening to it and you ALL (general 'you') leave it happen and not one of yous is fighting for YOUR country.

Calling them out as a whole?

Buddy, there is NOTHING that Harris, Biden, Obama and even the last moronic president you had 20 years in Bush Jr. that they have done that even COMPARES to what Trump done to your country.

The Clintons???!!!  LOL

Even if you believe in the Whitewater scandal, or even if it was true, it PALES in comparison to what Trump done fraudulently...

The republicans sure didnt want to let go of the Whitewater scandal. LOL

And then there is:

Dissecting 7 key pieces of the Mar-a-Lago photo | CNN Politics

And you 'you', tell me to my face, so to speak, that you  hold accountable ALL politcians?

I do NOT know how you voted.

I do NOT  WANT to know how you voted either.

But Ill repeat.

I do NOT want ANY red blooded American whine to me about how their country is going to shyte.

I do NOT want ANY red blooded American whine to me and tell me its the democrats' fault. Other than the few that have vocalized the hatred they have for Trump.

Trump riled up ALL the phoquing morons to vote for him.  But maybe its time for the GOOD Americans to fight back and get their coutry back in order...

Ya'll did it once back in the 1960s.  And it wasnt JUST about the Viet Nam war.  Women burning their bras for equality.  Black folk rallying for equality.

America is an embarrassment because it has been given everything and still acts like a third world banana republic politically.

I truly hope this is true, it seems to be and of course many GOP house and Senate members have stated they are not wanting to change IRA since it would affect Billions their states have given to auto companies to build plants for the EV industry in their states.

I am becoming apolitical because we are unwilling to get over our stupidity and corruption.

I am set with everything I pretty much need.

The idiots that voted for Trump will suffer, as they should.

Very cool read. Even taking into account the mining for rare earth materials, this report is very clear on the benefits of EVs.

Outlook for emissions reductions – Global EV Outlook 2024 – Analysis - IEA

To Quote:

the lifecycle emissions of a BEV purchased in the United States today are around 45%, 60%, and 65% lower than those of a PHEV, HEV and ICEV. Compared to the ICEV, this amounts to a net lifetime savings almost 50 t CO2‑eq for a medium-sized BEV.

Thank you! Possibly Italy's only colony, with spillover into adjacent countries like Somalia.  I have no doubt the regular people would be nice, and probably nicer than most Italians who are constantly tending to their plumage to ensure they exude "la bella figura."  My immigrant father would joke many Italians in Italy are much like peacocks.

If it's safe, or I could be accompanied, I  would like to see it.

Your Peacock statement is so true. Had to do some training of our sales force in Italy and I was shocked in how everyone dressed up and tried to outdo each other in peacock fashion. There I was in Jeans, polo shirt and was to train them on our tech, amazing how much the guys especially would be more worried about how they looked then understanding the technology they were to sell. It tends to explain the high turnover of the sales folks that are too focused on their looks rather than the job.

Hell may in fact be a difficult place to get into. Who knew?

I have this insane and irrational urge to go to the most remote and dangerous place available. Maybe if I can't find hell I n hell, I can find it on earth?

I tried listening to the video but I couldnt get myself settled enought to do so.  ADHD?  That may be a  possibility and I was also helping my son with his homework.

My opinion is that I dont think Hell is a difficult place to get into.  Its a prestigious club and ANYBODY could get in when temptation is strong enough.  In my opinion Hell not need be a physical place but it could be a mental one too.

And there could be different types of Hell. Little bastions of Hell making it easier to  find on earth.  An example:

All kinds of fiery sin in that kind of place.  The depths of human depravity and suffering.  Like I said...temptation in that mini-hell that leads to Hell's resort

Clues from 200 phones over who visited Jeffrey Epstein's island

that eventually leads to the mythical place after death. That would be one sort of hell.

Another would be this kind

How bullet holes in Beirut buildings led to a discovery about Bennu | University of Arizona News

Look how the Devil looks like in the picture below

413 Warga Palestina Meninggal, Termasuk 78 Anak-Anak

And I didnt want to post the next pic below because of the injured, possibly deceased little girl that brought tears to my eyes.  But that is how the Devil works. And we enable him. Some of us in this world do his work for him and this is how he repays us here on earth.  We dont even need to wait to die to feel the wrath of God when we dont enter his realm.  When God denounces our plea to enter Paradise... We collectively pay for ALL of our sins.

Israel-Hamas war updates: Iran tells Israel to stop before 'it's too late' | Israel-Palestine conflict News | Al Jazeera

And I mentioned Hell could be a mental entity...

The best example I could find of this type of Hell.  2 different soldiers in two different wars experinecing PTSD. Shell shock or whatever term we like to call it nowadays.

World War 1 Rigorous Shell Shock

One doesnt even need to be religious to experience Hell or to permanentally live in Hell in life on earth or after death.  Hell exists for real and it has NOTHING to do with religion. Religion just scares you about it.   Hell truly exists. Its the deepest, shyttyest human thing that humans  do either to one another or to onesself...

Just my opinion.

Thank you!  Things people observe about various groups shouldn't be bashed as stereotypes, but as reasonably good indicators.  It's not only that way with the guys, but also with the women.  One interesting thing that's going on is that they're even playing the "hard to get" game with their own counterparts where "water seeks its own level" holds, but these guys are going to other countries (Cuba is big) to find wives or shack up honeys.  Eventually, the thighs on these thin Italian women will take a hit and they, too, will look like the older Gina Lollobrigida who, after one marriage, did not tie the knot again.  Maybe it was her choice, or, who knows ....

Oh, well ...

I'm not being ageist because it happens to everyone.  Some people don't take the humbling all that well.

As much as I like Italy and France, and their languages and cultures, they are Europe's worst offenders when it comes to superficiality.

Thought this was an interesting drawing of two women, you can't quite tell what is going on, a bit of mystery to the art. So many stories in such a simple hand drawn picture.
