I recently read in the USA Today that Toyota has invested in a $1B plant in Mexico. Now the production is going to increase quite a bit. I would like to know what others think about this investment. I also want to know your opinion about what it means for America.....

Ford it spending $2.5 billion to update their plant for new motors and transmissions. Labor cost is lower and with NAFTA there is nothing to stop blue collar jobs from going to the lowest labor cost market. I think the over all affect is already felt and that Toyota is doing like everyone else, just updating their plants to keep them current with what needs to be built.
