I have a 99 Blazer in pretty good shape, but lately it sounds like something is grinding in the back. It kind of sounds like brake pads, but it doens't make the noise when I press the brakes, it's almost all the time. It's getting worse. Is it possible the rear pads are just stuck or something? Also I thought the front were always the first to go.

Thanks

I'm no mechanic or car repair expert, but could the noise be coming from the rear gears/pumpkin?  That is a constant moving part when driving.  Your rear fluid could be low causing the gears to grind.  Just food for thought.

Well thanks, I will check the fluid again, and I assume it's possible it could be gears. It just really sounds like the sound my other car would make when the pads were low. screech and grind
