How can the Fiatc500 get suchbpoor reviews here and still be the number one selling car in its class in Europe? I know American tastes are different, but....????

I believe it is because Europeans have a different set of expectations when it comes to quality.  Also, from what I've read, the 500 has some Eurocentric controls that can be confusing for Americans.  We just had a young couple in the shop with his Wrangler, he crashed it.  Coincidentally, she recently crashed her 500 and totaled it.  She said that although the car helped save her life with the airbags, et al, she would not buy another because of its size, it was just too scary in hindsight.
