You guys all know by now that I'm working on cleaning house(selling all my cars).

So, having seen many of my old rides and knowing my current ones, what do you think my next one will be or should be?

I'm all over the map. New/old, truck/SUV/Car, classic wagon/El Camino, a Zeta variant, even tempted by Kappa. Even I can't guess what it will be.

So make your suggestions/predictions now and we'll see who nails it.

Even I don't know what the answer will be. 8)

Here's a little more background information.

A few of the cars not listed(pictured) in the sticky topic "Camino's Old rides Index".

I have no pics of these:

'71 Impala coupe

'73 Plymouth 340 Duster

'71 Plymouth Duster

'68 Chevy C/10

'68 Nova sedan

'70 Chevelle coupe

Lately I've definitely been wanting a Cobalt SS SC or a Kappa (even though they're sold out for the year already). I'd love me a Corvette, too, but they're far out of my range.

Since you are only suggesting the complete opposite of what I want... I'd say a Honda Prelude would suit you find. They are great reliable cars. Same with Honda Civics. Either one is your best bet. Anything thing else? Not worth your time. Move on. :P

hmmm... ill guess a few...

saturn sky

late 80s monte carlo

Lincoln Mark V

Caddy Coupe Deville

if you plan on waiting a bit maybe a 2009 camaro

i dont know what all this talk is about people who dont like cars from the 70s... i dont believe you guys that these people exist... they are clearly what we evolved from and have since become extinct

Z: That would be pretty cool for budget fun.

Mustang : I'd get torn limb from limb  I do like them though.

BV: :censored::censored::censored:

Camino:

I hear you on the FWD. I'd love to buy a SS/SC with the LSD

but if I can not get it without breaking the bank I should just

get a nice used RWD. Actaully I'm currently on a new kick.

Back when Subaru was still owned by GM I told myself I'd

get a beater WRX someday. I looked it up and a 70-80K mile

2002 Impreza WRX in great shape runs about $13,000. I am

still disapointed at GM selling this brand to Toyota, but hell...

if I got a 2002 used I'm not giving any money to Toyota and

technically when the car was bought new it was GM.

Anyway, screw justifying it. It's got a pancake motor, turbo,

5-speed, rear biased AWD & still has four doors. Why not?

Avalanche!

(Don't ask me why this was the first thing that popped into my mind...)

I've come very close to buying an Avalanche several times, so your nomination makes sense. Now they finally look good.

C4 ZR1?  Or a late 80's C4 vert to get you through the long, hard summer and an '07 Avalanche to do everything else.

This idea has merit, there's a ZR1 for sale locally w/low miles... ...and it's black! 8)

Do it! I'd like to see anyone take a spin in a ZR1 and then bash DOHC.

In case you couldn't tell, I have a soft spot for the C4, I've toyed with the idea of breaking the bank and picking up a high miled, beat to hell, early C4 because they're so cheap. 210hp? Who cares, clean it up, give it a nice wax job, and cruise, its a f@#king Corvette.

Posted

The Corvettes with the TPI 350 were rated at 230-240hp throughout their life. The great thing about those engines also respond very well to even light modifications. You could get another 100hp without even pulling the engine. The 1984 with the cross-fire injection will probably have more colector value, but they are a real PITA to keep running smooth. The throttle-body ends up collecting this gunk inside and gradually degrades the way the car runs. Hence it's three model year existence.

I'd get a C4 too if the right one came along. I like the way some of them look with the body-colored side exhaust kits.

*whistles* um...

How can you say no to one of these. I want one so bad.

LOOK TO OLDS FOR THE NEW! And look at all the FWD cars now.

With a 425 how can you go wrong?
