If you guys remember from the top-end overhaul on my green tahoe, I borrowed a special puller to remove the power steering pulley from the pump. The tool I borrowed was a Snap-on and it costs about $150.

Here's the problem, I want to buy an equivalent puller kit. The trouble is, though many are out there on the market, I can find no application information beyond "fits most GM". Many of the descriptions on these puller/installer kits list a few engines they apply to, but none I could find list a GM 5.7!

I know that some parts houses will loan out the tools, but I want to buy a set that covers a few models I expect to mess with in the future.

I'll be needing to do this repair on the Red Tahoe soon, and sure, I could borrow the tool again, but I'd like to own one.

Blows my mind that I can't find a listing that confirms a given puller works with one of the most common engines on the planet!

Anyone have any brands with part numbers that are confirmed to work?

Napa sold me a puller that they said works on the 5.7 since it is in my suburban and it works like a charm. No part number on the tool but check with Napa.

Or you can just buy the power steering pump with the pully on it.
