same as always- to get some work done on the fleet.

Specifically, I want to strip the 3 Pontiac triplets out back, get the COE finished up, then get back on the B-59.

What- too much to ask??

I want to learn as much as I can about the new midsize GM pickup trucks. After seeing the fantastic new fullsizers, I have great expectations.

The Jeep is doing OK for 140k miles, but I'm thinking of getting something newer w/ under 50k miles for my daily driver in the next few months...

I wanna learn to drive a stick, once and for all.

Same here..

The hardest part of that is simply finding a car to learn it on. I could teach you in half an hour.

The first thing I learned as a driver was how to drive a stick. Lately, I haven't been able to use this skill due to the above. There are alot of good cars that are impossible to find with sticks.

I think you need to find a Sonic or Cruze with a manual and turbo and learn on that. They are just about the easiest manuals to drive that I have ever driven.

Agreed. My Cruze manual was extremely easy to drive, the engine computer calibration helps a veteran user, I imagine a new manual driver would learn quickly.

I learned how to drive stick on a friend's 2002 Acura RSX Type-S, they should have called it an Integra IMO, but it was a fun quick little car. It was way too small for me and it was a pain to work the cluth cause of my bad knee and being cramped, but it was fairly easy to master.

Very nice, I only wanted a Supercharger with Cold Air Chiller kit for my Trailblazer SS, but I was happy with the movies I got to add to my collection. Almost 1400 Movies now all DVD/BlueRay! :P

Well, we decided that this would be the first year that we did not shop for each other (we decided to be financially responsible and spend only on the kids <and even at that it was a set budget amount per each child>). Two years ago when cash was really tight we budgeted $100 per each of us and that really doesn't get you a lot (my wife, who did not grow up with lavish amounts of gifts on Christmas, was disappointed). So last year we upped it to $250 but again the money could have gone to other things. This year we got each other nothing but spent time as a family and it seemed to work (I surprised her with 6 bottles of a Pink Moscato wine that she likes though - it's tough not to want to buy gift(s) for someone you love at Christmas <she, however, had no issue refraining from buying me anything!>). We'll see what happens this year though.

I agree, I grew up not bothering to celebrate holidays and even now, rarely do, the wife bought stuff for the kids this year as always and we did not even exchange anniversary cards as we hit 21yrs of marriage a rarity today. But figured spending time with family and going up to play on the mountain was more important than the gifts. Family Time before all else.
