Haters gonna hate.

I prefer Brammo's products, specifically the Empulse:

This was benched against the Triumph Speed Triple and reviews say it offers a similar experience. That's impressive and I think I've found my next bike.

It did and I think that was the bike's debut. It came third in the zero-emissions race but was the only one on the podium that wasn't a prototype.

Although that version was fully-faired, IIRC.

What's that box on the front that looks like an air filter?

It's a radiator for the battery's liquid-cooling system.

The TRQ thing is a plus, but the silence aspect (WRT road safety) sure isn't.

Be intersting to see how many end up as road kill before they require some sort of artificial noise to tell auto's their electric toy is in their blind spot.

Drivers don't pay attention even to motorcycles with conventional engines. Cars are so well insulated today and drivers so distracted that a motorcycle - conventionally powered, or electric - doesn't register anyways.

Doesn't it sound like a Power Wheels though? I suppose a rider could get a microphone and make crotch rocket noises vocally to supplement that.

I disagree, while I do drive a well insulated SUV, I do pay attention to the noises around me. I just wish Harley Davidson would be forced to put real mufflers on their POS bikes as they just rattle everything and are so hard on the ears. I cannot believe more people who ride them are not totally deaf.

So far nothing that company has made has impressed me.
