Hmmm... I agree with GMTG... a MegaCab rear door would be awesome. Didn't we hear about plans (that eventually fell through) for a six-door fullsize SUV from somebody?

I am not sure if Ford was planning on a 6-door Excursion, or if it was GM for a Suburban, I forget which now.

That's a pretty cool airport limo Ram though. Be nice for hunting trips into Cabela's and the like.

Who is doing the conversions? Wonder if it would be US legal to import them. :P

I think these conversions were done in the US. Not to be confused with the Mexico-market 2dr Ramcharger from '94 to about 2000 or so...

ocnblu, I believe it was to be the Chevy Suburban that was going to offer the six doors, but my memory could be wrong. If not the Suburban, it would have to be the Excursion.

Does this count for an old SUV???? Or would it be Limo Class! :D

Even the old cornflake box trucks made a nice Ramburban:

I don't understand why Dodge left this market... and now it is probably too late to join it.

Sadly. They tried to open the door to this particular segment again with the second-generation Durango, but that wasn't exactly a home run success.

I do know this: if it's somehow kosher to bring a last-gen Mexi Ramcharger stateside, I'm going down to Mexico. I know I've seen a few of them pop up on various sections of California's Craigslist, but I never really knew the legality of registering the truck.

I don't how they get registered either, but I've seen a couple around the Phoenix area w/ AZ plates, and a couple w/ Mexico plates...

IIRC there was buzz in a magazine or on the Internet about 15 years ago about a stretched Burban option that would have had the rear-opening extended cab pickup doors behind the regular 4 doors...

I think you nailed it, Cubical. A Suburban with the pickup's rear hinged door would have been a cool feature. I'm not a fan of these 6-door SUVs posted here... the Ford Raptor-converted SUV is awesome, just lose the tlast set of rear doors.

I've seen a few 6 door Ford F350 pickups in the past, of the mid 90s style...IIRC they were built by Centurion who did the Ford Bronco-Burbans.

In the last two years Washington state has seen a rapid growth of the Hispanic community. With it is a few ram-chargers from Mexico. All they have to do here and I suspect the same in California and Arizona is pass a State trooper safety inspection and emissions and if all passes, then they get a state licenses.

I am the 4th owner of the ref and silver "Ramburban in the picture on your post. I'm the fat guy in the blue T-shirt.. It was originally a 2 door long bed, but is now a 9 passenger SUV with a 12 valve diesel, a total of 8 manual gear transmission (up to 25 mpg highway), air lift rear end, electronic trailer brake controller, air conditioning pipped to front and back. It hass over 200K miles but runs like a champ. I don't wish to sell it,h to be buried in it! My name is Rick and I've been disabled 20 years, and mostly bedridden for 10.My wife tries to keep me out of the truck, but hey, she works so home alone weekdays. I can't say. I'm almost 70!
