So, when you're on the road, and there's a bump that goes all the way across, so it catches both front wheels at once, and then there's a 3-foot dark circle on the road just ahead of it from oil being flicked off from under vehicles because of the bump.

That is what you call the Rocky Mountains to a Ricered Ride that has been lowered to Cig pack height. :P

Um well it's just something I've noticed while traveling. There'll be a dip in the road, and immediately after that dip, there will be a dark spot from oil being flicked off of undercarriages by the force of said dip. One might also see scrape marks in the road from chassis bottoming.

One might see this at raised railroad crossings and the like. People tend to not realize how severe the bump is, so they don't slow down, then end up bottoming out, scraping bottom. If there is an oil leak or residual oil from an oil change, a drip of oil might appear, and over time, with so many travelers, the scrapes and oil spots accumulate.

Long story short. Now I'm not sure where I was going with this, I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed it.

Interesting...I guess I don't pay attention to the details of the surface of the road (beyond the lane striping, etc) when I'm driving.
