The wife and I test drove a Techno Rose colored Spark 1LT (automatic) yesterday. As much as she loves the new Buick Encore, she still has an interest in the Spark. Of course the test drive was part of the Philadelphia International Auto Show and basically went around the entire Pennsylvania Convention Center, so a short test drive it was. But the wife liked it and wants to visit our local Chevy dealer for a much more "at home" test drive. I on the otherhand liked the Sonic 5dr LTZ (automatic) we test drove better. Women seem to like the Spark hatchback and not the Sonic hatchback (they all comment that they'd consider the Sedan over the Hatch).

Interesting observation, I wonder if it would hold up if one poled woman and looked at the sales to see what woman were buying in comparison to men. GM would be wise to check this out to make sure they continue to have product that pulls from both sides and sells well.

When I posted an interest in looking at '14 Fiestas on Facebook, my bro chimes in and says "CHEVY SPARK!"

See even he knows there is no need to go over to the dark side. Stay with the Light Fae and you will always win. :P

Here in central Jersey, painfully few Sparks to be seen. I've only noticed 2 or 3 out on the road. About the same for the IQ. Smart has been around so long, can't compare the frequency. Sonic is mainstream enough design-wise I would not pick them out. In reference to another thread, I have been affronted by too many jukes tho.

I understand the '14 model does away with Jalapeno and goes with Lime. The 2LT gets signal lights in the mirras. And the 4-speed auto option goes away... replaced with a CVT. :puke:

if this car had a turbo 1.0 three and a cvt match it would indeed truly be a spicy Jalapeno.

1.2/cvt match would be good also.

Would not surprise me if GM sourced the CVT from outside, like Jatco or something.
