How anyone thinks they can or should outrun a train is beyond me. Just stop at the tracks when one is coming. You have options; the train operator does not.

On top of that, Metro trains like that are generally short & quick, it's not like you're going to get held up by a mile long slow freight train (or worse, a train that's switching, and will stop & reverse while crossing the road and block it for a half hour, like they do here in my town.)

Dear Moron,

I know you feel you are more important than all the folks on the metro train, but please realize that the mass of your little Honda will always loose against the mass of a train.

On a positive note, Thank you for keeping people employeed due to your stupidity. The creation of a replacement car, repairs you will enjoy paying for to the train and any other damage you caused which will allow people to work to support their families, I thank you for the Job Creation.

I hope this is your idea of Change we can Believe in. :D

Since light rail was introduced to the Phoenix metro area a few years ago, there have been many crashes...esp. ones where people make a right turn at an intersection and drive into the side of a moving train...'didn't see it' or 'didn't know it was there' type excuses...
