Cheers or Jeers: 32,000 mile 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ Golden 50th Anniversary

Here is a very rare, 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ Golden 50th Anniversary 2dr ht in beautiful original condition inside and out with only 32K original miles on it. In celebration of Pontiac's 50th anniversary in 1976, a number of special edition Grand Prix were produced. These models were based on the LJ model, featured removable Hurst T-tops, Rally II wheels, special "Anniversary Gold" paint accented by a white opera roof and white side protection. Among the other distinctions was special badging with Golden hood and trunk. This was the only anniversary model offered by Pontiac. This car was even featured in a Pontiac magazine for it rarity and originality.

This Pontiac is fully documented with all its original sales documentation which includes original purchase order, letters from Pontiac, dealer shipping orders and warrantee papers. From day one the car has been cared for and babied and it shows. The car is all original and is by far one of the most unmolested '76 Pontiacs out there. By far one of the nicest I have ever seen in person! This car is solid as a ROCK throughout and 100 Percent Rust Free. The original leather interior looks amazing in person, making this car stand out among the rest! This particular color combo fits that era and truly stands out in any crowd. This is basically a brand new car and only has 32,000 original miles. To top everything you can still talk to the original sales manager at Schappe Pontiac in 1976 who sold this car new!!

It's loaded with the following equipment:

  • Numbers Matching 400ci V-8
  • Automatic Transmission
  • 50th Anniversary Package
  • Hurst T-Tops
  • Air Conditioned "Ice Cold"
  • Power Steering
  • Power Disc Brakes
  • Power Seats
  • Remote mirrors
  • Original AM-FM Radio "Works"
  • Original Floor Mats
  • Cruise Control
  • Vinyl Top
  • Original Books, Keys, Mats, Jack, Spare
  • This List Goes On and On....

This 1976 Pontiac has been well cared for since day one and it shows! The exterior paint is as smooth as glass and looks amazing! The car shows extremely well and is a true unmolested 1976 Pontiac. All the panels line up perfectly and is laser straight down the sides. It has all original paint. The car has always been garaged kept and hand washed! This was someone's pride and joy and the cars condition backs it up 100 Percent. It is sitting on a like new set of tires.

The all original leather interior looks like brand new. The Leather seats are in perfect shape and have always been conditioned and kept out of the sun. The interior look as if has never been sat in and show like New Condition. Under the hood is just as you would expect and has no signs of wear or damage in any way. The doors open and close as new and have no signs of wear at all! The windows go up and down with ease with no leaks or wind noise. All seals are in Like New condition as well. I cannot emphasize enough how nice the car shows as all the outside rubber is near PERFECT showing its storage indoors from the outside weather. Even the chrome is like NEW!!!!

Mechanically the engine and transmission run flawlessly! This Pontiac is a blast to drive with its very healthy original motor. There are no squeaks or rattles driving down the road which is so nice being its age. Every Gauge and every function operates as it should. All services and regular scheduled maintenance have been performed so there will be no surprises. The engine compartment is all original and like new. This car could be driven anywhere with ease. Remember this Pontiac only has 32,000 original documented miles and is in EXCEPTIONAL condition!

Sweet...haven't seen a clean GP of that era in ages..love the pointy front end. When I was a kid, one of my older brother's best friends had a black '75 w/ red interior.
