Go Nuke Yourself

This is both depressing and interesting... I feel better knowing I can survive an average strike on a nearby city, or even 20~30 blocks from a 'suitcase bomb'... but unfortunately, the site tells us nothing about fallout... which is something I worry more about.

On more interesting results, its interesting to put in the 100Mt bomb and start adding zeros. At 7 extra zeros (1Pt), the entire Earth is consumed in massive sudden global warming.

doesn't look as though it says anything about average range, but i was just skimming. I also think that there are certain factors that would affect that, such as the blast site's location, topography, weather, etc.

Yeah, fallout is very sensitive to location, weather, topography... but these effects have been studied for years. I'm surprised no one has linked it to Google maps in some way. Of course, its like airborn pollution, so I know in NJ, its all from Pennsy and SW... unfortunately, a lot of potential targets... but I'd still try to GTFO if possible.
