    • Jeers! That patina looks fake and $9,500 is way too much.

Cheers or Jeers: 23,000 Mile 1955 GMC

1955 GMC 100 stepside pickup, RARE factory 347ci/206 hp V8, purchased new in Medford, Or. by the Selby glass company. Still in original owners name, has been in storage since 1975. Very solid rust free cab and bed, original v8, original key and original Oregon title! Very solid rust free restoration project for someone, a true "BARN FIND"

Wouldn't a 347 be a Pontiac engine, making it not factory for 1955?

Hey Roger.... this is the one.

If you're financing, I'm signing on!!

Yes, it is the right one 99% (I want the Hydramatic auto trans to make it 100%)... but beggar's can't be choosers. Just wish I had that kind of dough :(

The mileage may be low (if that is accurate), but it's in really rough shape..that price seems to be way too high for a non-running, worn out truck...maybe an extra zero too many in the price?

This may have been the reality in 1955 for durability of interior soft parts. The wood bed floor seems normal for the age, too.

I'd do the minimum to make it serviceable and roadworthy, reupholster the seat, replace the rubber floor mat and bed floor and just ride it like it is... it's pretty cool, imo.
