    • Jeers! Why doesn't anyone ever preserve a car that's actually worth preserving? And $7,000+? That's nuts.

Cheers or Jeers: 802 Mile 1983 Lincoln Continental Mark VI

If you are a Lincoln collector or enthusiast, this is the vehicle for you!

Offered for auction is this gorgeous 1983 Lincoln Continental Mark VI 2 Door Signature Series with ONLY 802 ORIGINAL MILES. This is the closest to factory condition as you will find!

Presented in Platinum Mist (1Q) paint with Medium Charcoal Premium Cloth seating with Allure Carpeting, this Mark VI is Absolutely Stunning!

This vehicle was purchased new in 1983 as a collector car and includes the Original Window Sticker and Owner's Guide. 1983 was the final production year for Mark VI and it is said that only around 40 Signature Series Coupes were made in '83, making this an extremely rare collectible. It was for that reason that the previous owner properly stored this vehicle away and maintained the vehicle all these years. Just look at the pictures, and you will see that this is one of the most pristine examples in existence.

Equipped from the Factory with a 5.0L (302ci) V8 Engine, Automatic Overdrive Transmission, Automatic Climate Control, Automatic Headlamps, Keyless Entry Pad, Premium Sound System, Coach Calino Luxury Vinyl Roof, Cruise Control, Power Seats/Windows, Power Antenna, Wire Wheel Covers, Carpet Floor Mats, Conventional Spare Tire, Heated Side Mirrors, Rear Window Defrost, and much more with a original 1983 MSRP of $25,065. That's over $55,000 in 2012 money!

Included with this Mark VI is the Original Factory Window Sticker, Original 1983 Owner Guide; Original Warranty ID Card; Original Keyless Entry code; Original Michelin Tire Card, Original Spare Tire Guide, and the Original Electronic Message Center Guide.

This Continental Mark VI is in Outstanding Condition. The body is straight and rust free. Only a few minor dings out of the deck lid and hood were repaired with paintless dent removal techniques. The factory Platinum Mist paint shines like new and is uniform in thickness around the body. All trim and chrome pieces are in excellent condition. The original wire wheel covers are like new and are mounted on the original wheels and tires. The Interior is in original showroom condition. The Allure carpeting is a luxury that you just dont see in automobiles anymore. Everything is operational. The trunk area in this Mark VI is perfect. The original factory spare and jack are both there. The Electronic Fuel Injected 5.0 Liter 302 starts right up and runs flawlessly. The transmission shifts smoothly and the suspension is like riding on a cloud. All engine parts are original, with only the battery and fluids changed for maintenance purposes.

This is Truly a Prime Example of a Luxury Collector Car. You would be hard pressed to find a better example of, or even a comparable example to this Signature Series Mark VI. Don't let this one get away!

I like the Mark V, and the Mark VII, but the Mark VI was trying to be a Mark V on a relatively tiny chassis... and the translation sucked. Jerrs.

Don't see these very often..the short-lived Panther-based Mark. The interior reminds me a lot of the Town Cars my Dad had in the '80s.
