Wow- I JUST got off the phone with my buddy, telling me about this faded black GTO down the street from him for sale, via talking I figured out it was a '73, and this is the very same actual car. Too new for me, tho.

That's just cool!

If it were doable for me, I'd be all over this one - I really like it.

I'm going over to Monroe Sat to mess with some plow equipment- you want me to put a deposit on it for you? ;)

Man I wish!

Think he'll take an NOS Vette bumper as a downpayment?

Guessing this is the vehicle to which you referred, Camino?

Looks good..... I just can't stop looking at cars I'd love to buy.

*sighs*

That would be a very nice fun car to drive & bring back up to snuff but man the gas it would use. Needs a Richmond gear 6spd 2x OD then you could row the boat smiling all the way home.

The lowest production year for the GTO.

Monroe township isn't too far from me... but I'm not there right now.

If you like the black '73's, there was an episode of 'Moonshiners' recently (either episode 3 or 4) where Tim puts a new engine in his black colonnade A-bod. Its a red car repainted black, IIRC (you can see the jams aren't done)... and is a hybrid... '73 doghouse, '77 taillights. But its shiny and sounds good when done... so its something of Poncho colonnade eye-candy.

Just remembered that the later taillights don't fit on the early colonnades... so it must be a '75-'77 body with a early doghouse.

I'm not so sure...

At least the GTO seems to be gone - safe on that front.

I am sure another GTO will come up when the time is right for you. :)
