If I wound up with one I would have to swap those seats out for a set from a G8. That's my only beef with it.

It's nice to see the Caprice finally back, but this car is very dated looking and the interior is not up to current GM design and material standards. I would like to see this converted into an Impala SS, though at the end of the day, these can't hold a candle to the old B-bodies IMO.

How are these selling? I was told by a PA State police officer that PA will not be buying any for patrol car use because of their foreign-made status. I can understand that and I'm wondering, if GM did their market research, why GM didn't foresee that fact being an issue.

It's nice to see the Caprice finally back, but this car is very dated looking and the interior is not up to current GM design and material standards. I would like to see this converted into an Impala SS, though at the end of the day, these can't hold a candle to the old B-bodies IMO.

I would expect the driving dynamics to be much better than the B-bodies, though...this is a much newer platform... and the interior is a lot nicer...the last B-bodies were awfully cheap and plasticky inside, IMO...

If not for the entire NJ Police association. If I recall correctly, all police vehicles are approved by the state's police association. Chargers seem to be the hot ticket for local towns right now.

I was going to say that, because deep in the back of my memories, it was my understanding ALL police cars in NJ must be of either US or NA build... but I couldn't remember the details. And I remember the Crown Vic and Charger being built in Canada was a possible hitch in that concept.

But then again, times change. NJ used to be against photo enforcement, but the traffic light cameras are still moving in.

True enough..this the super cheap basic police interior...needs Commodore Statesman leather trim, etc to dress it up..
