Although they look like they might be some sort of "marital aid", these are actually sterling silver salt and pepper shakers that came down through my dad's side of the family.

I did a little research and discovered that they were made between 1920 and 1930 in NYC by P.H. Locklin & Sons.

The puzzling thing is the monogram - it appears to be a "G".

I can't find anyone on that side of the family with a "G" name.

The pics aren't so great, but does anyone see some other letter in the monogram?

Perhaps they were given to a member of your family, or even picked up 2nd hand rather than being monogramed for the family member directly.

I have a TON of stuff that were I suddenly gone all SORTS of questions as to 'why' & 'how' I had it would bubble up.

Yup.

And I like to answer those questions if I can.

For these, I think I'm at a dead end now. But at least I learned who made them, and when, and where.
