Subaru has done a good job of dodging the “how much is the BRZ going to cost” question only saying the price would be “comparable” to a Subaru WRX.

But if Motor Trend is to believed, you can step into the base BRZ Premium for $24,000 which gets you a Torsen limited-slip differential, 17-inch alloy wheels, tilt-telescope leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather shift knob and handbrake, a six-speed manual transmission, aluminum pedal pads, an eight-speaker sound system, and standard Navigation.

If you have extra $3,000 lying around, you can step into a BRZ Limited that adds leather-alcantara upholstery, a rear lip spoiler and foglights, among other things.

We’ll see if these estimates pan out when BRZ arrives in the US next year.

While not too keen on its looks at first, it's really starting to grow on me more than the Scion/Toyota version is. This seems more appealing than, say, a Genesis and everything else that's similar in size is FWD.

If that estimate is to be believed, the Subaru is quite a deal considering what sort of car it is and how much content comes standard. I personally was expecting an entry price of $27,000.

If the Scion model is going to start off near 20k than that in all honesty is what the Subaru is worth without the extras that add the extra cost to the vehicle...the Limited packages seems a little expensive for what you get though, I think the lower price of the Scion will be the vehicles main selling point and may unfortunately hurt the Subaru...however the Subaru will probably retain its value better and that alone and the fact that Subaru for the most part designed the vehicle would make me shop Subaru.
