What is your car music guilty pleasure?

We all have our car music, the stuff that really gets us into the drive. But what is the car music that you love that you... really wouldn't admit to? The stuff that doesn't fit your personality or your car's personality.....

This idea came to me as I was driving to work this morning in the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze Eco wearing french cuffs, cufflinks, and a pink "Cancer Sucks" bracelet in support of a family member while enjoying.... Marylin Manson - Lest We Forget. Great music for an urban morning commute and for those of you who know me well enough... completely outside of my personality.

So what is your car music guilty pleasure?

Lucky for me 3 year old loves this.....still find myself rocking it anyways.....

I don't feel guilty about any music that gives me pleasure.

That said, I like really upbeat progressive rock while driving - stuff that really peaks out.

This song is one great example:

You guys will have to tell me how the clip sounds - but even if the quality isn't good, you should get the idea of the energy in this song. And why I like driving with it as my soundtrack.

Michael Jackson songs, everyone i know hates him and his music, and it didn't fit my character when i started listening to his music a year ago.

I mostly listen to NPR or local traffic news currently on my short commute, but when I do listen to music sometimes I go outside my usual areas of interest and listen to jazz, classical, cheesy '80s pop (Michael Jackson, Madonna), or Euro dance/trance...or if I want to laugh/cringe, I listen to Glenn Beck.

My interests for car, home listening and iPod listening consists of a lot of classic rock, hard rock and some metal, blues, prog rock, New Wave, '80s rock, grunge, Brit Pop/Rock of the '90s-present, ambient, electronica....

I mostly listen to the news in the car. If I throw on a CD, it'll be the Pet Shop Boys, Go-Gos, or Tear for Fears.

That's a hard one because I feel that everything I listen to fits my personality.

I do love talk radio, but the only time I get to listen to NPR now is in the AM and I'm so damn tired of hearing about the middle east I could scream

But it's usually a nice mix of metal and bluegrass/rockabilly/old country.

I'd say my weirdest guilty pleasures are probably techno (I love my some freakin techno) or 80s dance stuff or maybe GaGa or Oakenfold (Zoo York FTW)

I'm like F_O_G in this case ... nothing that I listen to would shock anyone, I don't think, given the different songs I quote in my sig .

Good Lord, Camino. That ain't 'rock'. Sounds like the opening melody for a forgotten '70s game show involving costumed contestants. ;)

I guess about the only thing I would possibly feel 'guilty' about (and I don't) is some of the girl pop singers have some pretty catchy tunes.

This week I've been playing Mudvayne's L.D.50 CD with regularity. I align much more closely with primal screaming than anything else, but I like lots of different stuff.

Been listening to M83 quite a bit lately on the daily grind..the 'Saturdays=Youth' and 'Hurry Up, We're Dreaming' albums....not guilty, though..I've enjoyed atmospheric French electronica/pop for quite a while...also, Adele, Fitz and The Tantrums, and RPA & The United Nations of Sound (Richard Ashcroft's post-Verve band).

This week I've been playing Mudvayne's L.D.50 CD with regularity. I align much more closely with primal screaming than anything else, but I like lots of different stuff.

FANTASTIC CD!!!!!

Man, I miss old Mudvayne.

I saw them with MetallicA in '03 and although they had stripped the make up by then, they were still SUPER intense! One of the best sets I've ever seen. "Internal Primates Forever", "Death Blooms" and "Cradle" are probably three of my favorite songs of all time.

CD is still in my truck's player today. When something sticks with me, I tend to wear it out. It is a great album.

I listen to more of a variety sitting here @ the machine than driving around. No XM or iPod on the road, so...

nothing that's really out of the ordinary or wouldn't fit my personality, though my music tastes have gotten somewhat more eclecting in the past five years then just sticking to punk and heavy metal like I used to.

but i still won't listen to folk music, or soft rock, or any of the whiny crap that comes on the radio now.
