Ah, the new Beetle...rocks. There's a new 2011 Candy White GTI 2-door with the 18" wheels parked outside my apartment today, looks killer.

If only VW didn't scare me so much. I could handle them before, but after working at an Acura (and ex VW as of 2008) dealer, the day after day horror stories of even the latest new VW's then perturbs me...even having been in many, driven several, and knowing not every problem is every car. It's a company thing.

Cruze and Focus aside, otherwise right now the Impreza and Beetle are really the only 2 new small cars yet to be out that intrigue.

Congrats on the new replacement car, Bill, and welcome back to GM ownership! I was very impressed with the '11 Cruze LTZ RS sedan I drove at the Main Street in Motion event in Philly last month. I thought the turbocharged 1.4L 4 cyl engine would seem underpowered, but it moved that little car quite well. However, as impressed I am with the Cruze, I'm more in love with the upcoming Buick Verano (and can only imagine I'd be happier with the 2.4L 4 cyl engine in that car). As always, best of luck with the new car and many happy motoring miles! :smilewide:

Thanks, Roger. Yup, the new small Buick is a baby stunnah.

Looks like it will be Thursday evening when I pick it up if everything goes well between now and then.

Car carrier pulled in next door today with 2 new silver 2012 Cruze's and 1 Blue Topaz...the blue rocks. I'm not a blue fan typically, but fits the car well and looks great. Will age well.

How's it going so far with yours, Mr. Dart? I went to look at mine tonight. It's at my selling dealer, but not cleaned up yet. I'm excited! I went over there tonight because tomorrow night I will be dropped off there by a co-worker, after a meeting, with no car. Wanted to make sure it's in good shape and all.

i was convinced the cruze eco was the way to get the cruze now i am not sure.......the RS pack really makes it sexy

Did it have the back and red interior? I am not a fan of fire engine red interiors (hated the HHR SS black and bright red leather), but the red upholstery fabric on the seats in the Cruze is such that you have to look at it straight on to get any full effect of the red. I like the subtlety of it.

yes it had the red and black cloth.....the one part I myself did not like.......really very much dislike the red dash inserts......

Yeah, I would prefer the all-black with the Victory Red, or maybe even the tan. If I HAD to take a Cruze with the black and red interior, it would have to be silver, black or Black Granite on the outside, otherwise too much red for me.

I was thinking my car would have the black and gray seats, but they're all gray, with black carpets, door panels and dash, save for the gray swaths.

Reminds me of the vehicle I've kept the longest so far in my life... '94 S-10 was bright blue with gray split bench. If that bitch Irene holds her temper, I'll try to head over to the County Park for photos to post this weekend.

Sounds nice! I like the color a lot after seeing it. Fits the lines well. Positive news and update after the last week or so :AH-HA:

Long day @ work yesterday, then we had a powwow with our dealer principal at a local highclass steak house, didn't get out of there until 7:30. A coworker who lives on the way dropped me off @ the dealership where we rushed through the paperwork, didn't get out of the dealership until 8:30, came out to look @ the car, under the florescent lights, the cleanup left much to be desired, drove home, put it in the garage and peeled off their advertisement on the decklid, came upstairs and went to bed because I still hurt some.

Whew. But I got my new vehicle. I'll clean it up myself ASAP and get some photos and impressions up. Happy this is over and done with. Happy for an excellent credit score. Payments ended up at $7 more per month than the Ford Fiesta. I couldn't have asked for better I guess.

Cheers. And Gears.
