Yeah, the inspiration is from the E-Type.

But, car designers are really out of ideas these days...

I meant the steering only.

Buick has been doing a Jaguaresque version of their cars for nearly 20 years. Sadly for Jaguar, Buick has been doing the better version for the past 10.

The only real similarities I see on the steering wheels is that the spokes are similar and both have buttons on the spokes. The part that houses the airbag is not similar at all.

I wish the old XK's interior was as good as the new one's is. That'd be a totally kickass car; however, the old XK's interior is very average and the new XK's interior is not nearly as sexy as the old one.

As an owner of that body style Riviera....I am flattered that you would think Jag drew inspiration from my car...but dude......seriously you must be joking right? :scratchchin:

The Jag wheel looks better in my opinion--less "bloated"

Yes while the grille's have a similar oval shape....that is about the only similarity between them....and maybe a little of the coke bottle sides....but thats about it...IMO....I need to see a rear shot of the Jag and maybe a straight on profile view to see any other similarities or lack thereof

The last gen Riv has some terrific surfacing & transitionals going on- the catwalk element is truely unique in the modern era. The jag in comparison is quite pedestrian from a design standpoint.
