I see where CBS has stopped production of Two And A Half Men after Sheen's latest run off at the mouth. He's dumb. He's really dumb.

I can't stand that show. It's just not funny--it's depraved really. Charlie Sheen's just basically playing himself on that show; problem is he's a Grade-A douche. How the hell did it end up "the most watched show on television", or so they claim? Have we really gotten to the point that we're amused by anything?

I hate the show, I find the comedy to be cheap, and I think the guy needs help... If he was sober when he made that phone interview then he's got some serious mental issues. Shows like Frasier, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, even pseudo Dramadies like Monk and Psych etc... can be enjoyable or even funny without going into the gutter for every single punchline.

I watch very little network tv, have seen this show a few times, did't find it very funny...about the only network comedy in recent years that I watch occasionally that I like is 'Big Bang Theory'.

I think it's an abysmal show...

Pretty much House is the only good thing on fox...

Two and a Half Men is not on Fox. And there are a few good shows on Fox.

I am disappointed that CBS would continue to support this guy's habit for as long as they did, putting up with what they did. Yeah, I get it, it's all about money.

On Fox, about the only shows I still watch semi-frequently are The Simpsons, House, Fringe and Bones. Probably my favorite current network/basic cable show is TNT's SouthLAnd..

I think the only two current sitcoms I like are Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother.

BBT really is just *insert nerdy joke here*, some of the other is funny, but i only keep up with NBC's shows, parks and rec and community are more than 50% hilarious, still watch the office and 30 rock...

The popularity of Jersey Shore is all the answer you need to your last question.

Don't get me started on jersey Shore. I'll be here for hours typing up a dissertation on how it offends me as an Italian. Supposedly, they'll be going to Italy or something, and hopefully the REAL Italians will tell those fools what a damn disgrace they are.

I can't get into Parks and Rec, and The Office has kind of jumped the shark as of late, but I still enjoy the older episodes when Jim and Pam were still kinda awkward, Michael was still hopelessly inept (not that he still isn't) and Dwight was less of a dick-for-the-sake-of-being-a-dick and more of a brownnoser/knowitall. It used to be more of one punchline after another and another, but it's kind of lost all that lately. Community and 30 Rock are still pretty funny though.

I'm sure the show is offensive to all New Jersey residents also.. hard to imagine that the mindlessness of the show reflects the state and it's residents in any realistic way.

Or course, all I know about New Jersey is from the TV drama 'The Sopranos' that I really liked, that my favorite musician and band is from there (Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band), and that AT&T Bell Labs in Murray Hill was a pretty cool place to work in the '90s (a number of friends from grad school went to work there back in the day).

In my first year of teaching, easily half my students were from New Jersey. None of them acted anything like the people on that show.

I can tell you first hand; us Jerseyites associate the 'people' seen on Jersey Shore with what they are; New Yorkers. Really dumb New Yorkers.

Sad thing is, even most NY Italian-Americans don't behave like that. I sure as hell never went that far. I was borderline guido in the sense that I hung out with Italians, had the gold chain around my neck, open shirt a bit, went clubbing, but they're really trashy.

Saw part of an interview with him. He's an arrogant, egotistical, and I think borderline insane douchebag of the highest caliber. The way he was talking you'd think he was stoned then and there. "I am a warlock" Alrighty then...

Yeah, I've got no respect for him.

He's got to be a big disapointment and frustration for his father...I've always respected Martin Sheen for his acting and activism.

Yeah, it's amazing. Martin Sheen is a distinguished, respectable actor; and then Charlie ended up being some twerpy prick with an alcohol/coke/whore addiction.

And don't forget Emilio!!

I agree with the assessment of this season's The Office. It seems every-other episode has been funny, and the "Threat Level Midnight" episode was just :confused0071: The episode where Dwight dominated Jim with the snowball fight was horrible, Jim should never back down from Dwight (I like how it started though). Once Michael Scott (Steve Carrell) leaves, I'm not sure I will enjoy the show afterwards. Community is a good show, though I don't always think it's that funny. I've given Parks and Recreation several chances (mainly because I like Rashida Jones, that's why!) and I just don't always find it funny. I liked Outsourcing in the beginning, but haven't watch the last 10 or so episodes.

Now for a truly funny show, watch Modern Family on ABC Wednesday nights (EST 9:00 PM). That show has never let me down each week and it is truly hilarious. I'm surprised no one here didn't mention that already. It is a classic sitcom - boy, I miss those dearly the most out of al today's programming - and the cast is great.

Ah yes! Now they've sort of take over the funny factor from The Office, by beating them at their own game. That show is hilarious.

and Sofia...

That tends to be the pattern, regardless of the wealthy parent's occupation.

Oh, I couldn't never forget Emilio! Who could forget Emilio?

(eeh...who's Emilio again?)

oh, right, right...looks more like Martin than Charlie does, I think.

Was that a fairly recent episode? Could I find it on Hulu?

Someone in my cul-de-sac just put up a brand new, old-school TV antenna on their roof. It's been ages since I've seen one.

Wake up. Turn on morning TV. You'll start with Charlie Sheen, then the next co-host will flip to Muammar Gadhafi. Priorities? Hilarious.
