Audi reported sales of 7,812 for January 2011, an increase of 20% over January 2011. Five Audi vehicles saw an increase exceeding 50% for this month; the A3 (52.8%), A8 (765.4%), Q5 (50.9%), Q7 (59.8%), and R8 (83.7%).

Other interesting facts:

• 66% of A3s sold were the TDI model

• 594 A6s were sold in January, an increase of 17.2%

BMW reported a 21.1% increase in sales for the month of January. BMW sold 15,905 vehicles, a 20.8% increase. Mini for the month of January saw sales increase to 22.4%.

Other interesting facts:

• Only being on sale for two weeks, the X3 saw a sales increase of 273.5%

• 7-Series saw 52% drop in sales for January

• Mini Countryman sold 686 units for January

Jaguar/Land Rover reported increases in sales for the month of January. Jaguar sold 935 vehicles, an increase of 48% from last January. Land Rover sold 2,271 vehicles, an increase of 16%.

Other interesting facts:

• Range Rover Sport was the top seller with 838 vehicles sold

• LR4 was the big gainer in January: 46% increase from last January

• XK sold 168 vehicles, an increase of 22%

Mercedes-Benz reported sales of 17,273 for the month of January, an increase of 14%. This makes it the second strongest January in the company’s history.

Other interesting facts:

• Mercedes’ diesel lineup saw an increase of 136%

• S-Class saw a drop of 1.5% in January

• SLS AMG saw sales of 70

Porsche reported sales of 2,400 for the month of January, a jump of 34% from last January. The Cayenne led the way with 1,047 sold.

Other interesting facts:

• 911 saw a drop in sales, only 436 sold in January

Saab reported sales of 658 for the month January, an increase of 29% from last year when Saab only sold 511.

Other interesting facts:

• 9-3 made the majority of the sales with 512 sold

Volkswagen reported January sales of 18,401 vehicles, an increase 2.1% from January 2010. Sales of the TDI increased 51%.

Other interesting facts:

• Jetta sales were up 28%

• Touareg sales increase by 57.6%
