Agreed it is awesome. Does anyone else think it looks like a good version of the Imaj front end?

The profile is amazing as well! It looks more like a coupe than the CLS, at least under the sheet.

The profile is amazing... I wonder if this is the coupe version. The rear end seems hot, too... wonder if it's concept or production. There isn't much of a rear overhang.

OMFG!  That looks way to expensive to be a CTS!

Which would be awesome if it actually turned out to be a CTS! :)

If that's the NG CTS, it looks great.

If that's a coupe named ____, it looks great.

If that's a sedan named ____, it looks great.

If that's Cadillac's next concept, it looks great.

Have I made myself clear?

Anyone see that new interior sitting there? Looked very nice, and definately was not out of any current Caddy.

And though the trunklid on that car they peeked at looked unusably short, the wheels and a lot of the other details on that car were production ready, clearly.

It looked like there were 3 total in there, each with a slightly different roofline, but all about the same in size.

Hmm...

I saw the interior, I loved it--anyone have a screen capture of it?

Where in the world do you guys see an interior? The car is all covered up and all...lol

They had a cutout of the front seats/dash of a car in the Cadillac room.

THE INTERIOR IS AMAZING! THEY EVEN STAYED ON THE FOOTAGE IF IT FOR A GOOD 5-10 SECONDS, AND THE THETA BASED CADDY WAS OBVIOUSLY IN THE STUDIO (THE ONE THEY SHOWED RIGHT AFTER THE TRUNK SHOT), AND THE HEADLIGHTS AND GRILLE ON THE NG CTS ARE EXTREMELY AMAZING!!!! WOW....

No offense to anyone who owns a current CTS, but judging from that peek at the new one, it will blow the current car away. So gorgeous, so detailed. An excellent evolution of A&S. The back glass must have a hell of a slant to it, with that short deck. The trunk should still be accessible enough if the lid has compound hinges and a nice deep bumper cutout. Love those taillights.

None taken, but I can't wait to trade my '04 in on an '08

I did see the new interior on the program, and it blew me away as much as the exterior did of what's hopefully the new CTS. I still can't believe how impressive it looks, if the rest of GMs lineup is getting this kind of quality to detail and design, wow.

Look out for this video on CBS.com in a few days. They post videos of previous broadcasts on there.

Also.. I also Tivoed the program and my machine also happens to have a built in DVD burner. I'll try burning it and get a friend to put it on for me.

I'm not promising anything.

The detail... the entire front fascia... It's beautifully detailed. I can't WAIT to see the interior. When doest the new CTS debut. Damn, this is enough to make me reconsider the next G.

Judging by the sloping rear roofline and the short overhang in back, this is almost certainly a coupe.

Looks like Caddy won't have to worry about Interiors not being up to snuff anymore.

I like the fact that it actually looks more original. :)

Why would someone, like myself, who owns a 2004 CTS be offended? I can hardly wait to trade mine in. The only thing that might stop me is if it doesn't have an AWD option. This is as much a step UP from the current CTS as the CTS was from the Catera.

And if that shot was the interior. Finally! An interior worthy of the car.

I love the tail lights. Very modern/retro.

If you watch the video again, you'll hear that Lutz didn't like the "rat-fur" cloth. He sounds like a car fanatic and that's good to show to the viewers of the program.

damn! this could be the perfect sedan! oh i suppose it might be pricey. The styling appears to be quite awesome!

i absolutely love it from those glimpses though. I would 'big-O'/soil/fill my pants if they told me it had all wheel drive and a 370hp twin turbo direct injection DOHC v6 in it.

Keeping in mind it's a concept (in all likelihood), it looks good (maybe shrink the grille down).

I would advise people to avoid setting themselves up for a large disappointment when a toned-down production version appears.

The interior looks production-ready, though. (From whatever you can make out of it...)

I suspect your right. Its probably in the same vain as the Enclave concept.

I personally don't like the interior very much, but I'll concede that it's a very good one that looks professionally done. It's more Buick than Cadillac, IMO.

Posted

Don't be so sure that it's not the production version.  :AH-HA_wink:

Well...

-It's sitting awfully low to the ground.

-The grille is pretty radically designed.

-The headlights have a "concept" look to them.

-The placement of the rear license plate surround looks pretty high up.

I mean it could be one of those "90% production-ready" concepts but I'm pretty sure it's a concept.

I don't mean to sound like a downer, BTW. I'm just looking at it from a practical stance.

Posted

It's gotta be an unfinished clay model. I've seen the renderings, and unless they decided to make the rear really bland, that isn't the finished rear. The interior matches exactly the renderings I've seen. Great job Caddy!

And it's unquestionably better than the G35's, TL's, IS's, A4's, and C-class's. You can definitely tell they were trying; good for Caddy!

It's not as imaginative as the Zephyr's or as cool as the 3's, IMO, both of which I prefer more. Hopefully the NG CTS interior will be available in better colors.

Also, the grille and headlights look production-ready. The interior isn't quite yet, but overall I'd say this is def a 90% production model.

i LOVE that side shot. the headlights are beautiful.

this is WAY more stylish than the 3 series.

and way more beautiful and creative than "L-Finesses"

i am amazed. beautiful! JUST BEAUTIFUL!

Does anyone think the vehicle looks huge? I mean.. I know the CTS is not a small car.. but I think they actually made it larger. Don't ask me how I can tell.. it just looks bigger.

comparison to the size of lutz & interviewer, does make it seem bigger.

if the "super cts-v" is actually a mule like pple claim.

then it would make sense this CTS looks wider.
