That is apparently the lifespan of brake pads on a manual Cobalt when driven by me. :)

Screech pads weren't hit yet either, they were just found to be thin upon inspection.

This car has treated me quite well for the 200,000 so far...

ps. Who has the highest mileage car on this board? I know I'm not up there yet, but I'm just curious.

My bet for highest mileage is perhaps Bob's 1992 Regal Coupe with about 400'000km... Joe's Oldsmobile had something like 525000km when it died.

I'm at 201,000 miles and it starts up and runs continually.

~164K on my 3.1L monte. when it's cold, it's front creaks over most any bumps.... goes away after the car warms up. lol it's just old for it's age! ;)

Congratulations on your Cobalt and its fine service to you. As you can guess, brake pad wear has a lot to do with driving style.

Very nice...

My Balt still has a lot of life left on them @45k, both pads and rotors. Might be able to go awhile if I can avoid the growing crowd of stupid....

On the other hand, my wife's cav eats pads and rotors every 30k...
