I like the blue slate or so paint on that Aurion-the new model is nice, looks like Toyota was looking at the current Camry meets Mazda 6-a bit smaller looking, still nice, but let's see how the passenger and cargo room stack up-the outgoing model had a lot of both.

So... their 4 cyls will be "Camry" and look like ours, and their 6 cyls will be "Aurion" and look 500x better... interesting. I wish they would do that here. I would have less ugly Camries to look at.

No, rather it's a blatant copy of the Ford Falcon, adapted to the new Camry in an attempt to lure Australian large car buyers.

it's all right, but like ours nothing special. I really can't wait until I see the first one on the road and get convinced that it's a blight to our roads....it took me all of not long at all to do that with the old one.

Some interesting differences there; obvious Avalon influences. To my eyes, it's much less garish than ours, but a lot more conservative and, well, boring. I think the trouble with the N.A Camry is, Toyota got too caught up trying to make the car look "sportier", and, instead, it ended up looking like a melted piece of plastic.

MESSAGE TO TOYOTA: No matter how sporty a car looks, if you make 400,000+ of them, the public will get bored of them, and they will start to see the car as bland. So, why not just stick to what you do best, and make the car look bland in the first place?

But the PT has sold 100k per year and i never get bored looking at that..but the camry is a different story...

Why would they want to do that? The Falcon's aging fast and has no real styling direction as-is? Its a little-changed 1998 design!

It's amazing what a better grille and a bodyside molding can do to the looks of a car. It still is hardly anything to write home about but it looks cleaner and less dull that our POS! I will be amazed if that blight of a car they sell in NA sells as well as the previous generation.

This was developed as a replacement to the last gen Avalon in Australia...cuz unlike the the Valon's NA costumoers...the Aussies are smart and no a fugly car when they see it. Toyota should have given us this as the new Avalon not the ugly thing we have now.
